The primary feature that everyone is buzzing about right now is an ISO loader for this PS3 Custom Firmware. DC says it will be there, and all of this is a product of tinkering with Dark_AleX's original CFW for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Again, we remind everyone that this is still a project in its concept stage, and it remains to be seen whether it will make it out of the development pipeline. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and yours is as good as ours.

Update: We found a more compelling video of the PS3 Custom Firmware that German team DC is supposedly working on. A lot of commenters are going on about the validity of this CFW. We can only tell you to check out the video below for yourselves, and it's up to you to decide if this video actually proves that a PS3 CFW is within reach.
*Update 2* As many of you guys have pointed out in the comments section below, it seems that we've been bamboozled. LOL. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Time to take this Rumor to the rest of its kin. Custom Firmware for PS3 video - DEBUNKED.

I will believe it when I see it running on my PS3 way too many fakes out their to believe a "video" of some poor quality photos which could be from anyware this isnt news
I am very annoyed with QJ for posting this garbage. It is a single image with transition effects! If that doesn't scream photoshop, what does?

That's the first place my mind went too.
i use psp cfw because if i brick my psp i can fix it. But even if this is made and is public, tbh i probably wouldnt use it anyway, my ps3 means too much to risk breaking. also id rather buy the games and support the developers so that the companies will still want to develop for the ps3. we are already suffering from a lack of support from developers. we dont need it any worse

yea everybody should really support the developers atleast until 08 is done because if not i can almost guarantee you since the ps3's low game sales a lot more will start going multi plat. But just support them regardless they have people that work non stop and then you rob them and this is coming from someone who use to pirate almost everything from gc/xbox/px/ps2/psp everythign now i got a job and buy all my games and it makes me value them alot more.
In the updated video that qj.net added, If you analyze the video, there's some clear-cut evidence that this is not the system info, it is a photo! When he faces the camera towards the ground, he must switch over to the photo menu, because if you look closely, for about 2-10 frames of the video, you can see the "Triangle: Control Panel PS home button: Home Menu" black icon thing that appears in the bottom-right hand corner. It happens while he's trying to get his grip on the camera and catches a bit of the screen. Not only that, but the waves do not move. He tries to zoom in enough so that you won't notice, but it's still clear. Go onto your own PS3 and test it out. In the System information section, the waves move a ton. Far more than in this video. Also, there's no little black button help menu thing in the bottom-right hand corner when you click on system information, but there is when you click on photos. I just 100% proved it wrong. I deserve a cookie.

i don't see the use or significance for it i'm sorry to say.
as for supporting them, i've bought all non-crappy games for myself (except for Ninja Gaiden Sigma cause i already bought one as a bday gift for my brother i didn't want to buy it again to add to my collection and COD4 cause i don't like FPS... my Resistance game was a freebie when i lined up for launch and Warhawk is 3rd person) so far and has a pretty good stack of PS3 games (i have a total of 17 Blu Ray games plus 8 PSN games)... GO PS3!!!!

i noticed that in the video too. as he passes over his photo menu you can see the screen shot of what he shows as his system information. also like others have said, the waves are not moving in the background.
this is fake. and even if it was real i doubt many are willing to brick their ps3 just to play a game their computer can handle.
Why do people even bother making this fake crap?
Cant be a PSP. See the tv flicker? That's from a refresh rate. PSP is an LCD screen which means the refresh rate does not flicher when you tape it. Give it a try, tape your PSP or an LCD screen, then video a tube tv. There it is.

That video is far from what proof means and the "developer" is just lame.
The first video was obvious an edited photo.
The second video, he moves the camera away from the screen several times, specifically when he is going into the system information, this gave him long enough time to go back to photos and open the edited image, he doesnt look to the bottom of the screen simply because the triangle options box comes up.

just look at 1.01 and youll see the preview (photo browser) of the FAKE picture hes about to show you as he put the camera down...why all fakers always put their camera down so we can see that its fake..... even so...that would already been released if it would be real........German coder team DC is all gay
Whoever releases their proof of a Ps3 exploit/hack as a youtube video is quite lame.
