Love 'em or hate 'em, Salem and Rios are back in Army of Two: The 40th Day, the sequel for Electronic Arts' 2008 release, Army of Two. I still maintain that they just added the "40th Day" part because "Army of Two 2" would have sounded stupid. But I digress.

Anyway, today we have a new trailer video for the sequel courtesy of ActionTrip. Everything in the vid is apparently in-game footage, or so the trailer itself claims. Check it out. Army of Two: The 40th Day is being prepped for release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PlayStation Portable. Target release window is Winter 2009.

it looks pretty stupid in my opinion..

This trailer at least mainly cause they're making every other 2 seconds a dramatic slow-motion scene. Another is I didn't like how the smoke was rolling off of that building x.x looked really fake to me. Eh, but it has time to get good I guess.

I remember when Army of Two's trailer was online, I was watching it and super excited. When I got the game.. It really didn't emphasize much on the guns or money.. I found me forcing myself to try out other guns, but I could go through the entire game with one gun, and some guns only had one customization option: "Pimp" out or something. It was kinda cheesy and pretty cliched. DON'T GET ME WRONG I really enjoyed the game, and I beat it twice with a friend, but I just don't like how it barely looked like as what was advertised

The first game had its cheesy elements and didn't have a lot of incentive to try out other guns other than completionism but I had a blast playing through it multiple times with my brother. At its core it was truly a fun and almost addictive game to play. It needed work in other areas but I read the GI article on this game and it looks like they're going all out to try and address the issues people and critics had with the first game. I'll definitely be picking up this one when it comes out.

On another note, if you didn't like the first one or aren't that interested in the games, don't bother if you plan on playing alone or have no friends, like sex, its better when you're not doing it alone.
