Gordon FreemanMost of our coverage of the Leipzig Games Convention has been focused so much on Nintendo and their upcoming plans, and while you might think we've forgotten that it's the Leipzig Games Convention and not "Nintendo on Parade," we haven't.

Enter Valve and their big guns.

Valve Studios has announced that they're bringing their big gun, Half Life 2: Episode 2, to the Games Convention. They're also going to bring out guns two and three: HL2: Episode 2's multiplayer fragfest Team Fortress 2 and the single-player minigame Portal. The three games were previously only accessible to media outlets, but their arrival at Leipzig means that regular gamers will finally get the the chance to try them out too.

Valve hopes to have Half Life 2: Episode 2 out on the PC, XBox 360 and PS3 by December. All three platforms get both add-ons in the purchase, while consoles also get their Episode 1 fix in with this new chapter in the Half Life videogame series.

I'd buy portal alone I think... so with the half life 2 episode 1 AND 2 plus team fortress, I think it's a steal =D

I am not paying $60 for Ep 1 and 2. Where is the actual Half-Life 2 game? And Counter-Strike?

The new SDK just came out too! I can wait to get the new AI features working. The audio commentary for Ep1 hints that Ep2 will give me a more great content to mess with!
