Vagrant Story has a date with the EU PS Store

His wardrobe may look like it suffered a major malfunction, but he sure as hell can kick ass like nobody's business. His name's Ashley Riot, he's a Riskbreaker, and he's crashing into the European PlayStation Store this Christmas season.

 

Square Enix today announced a December 22 EU PSN release for Vagrant Story, the classic RPG adventure originally released in 2000. Famed for its darkly compelling narrative, unique battle system, and atmospheric 3D world, Vagrant Story remains one of the few games to garner a perfect score from Japanese gaming mag Famitsu.

 

Vagrant Story will be available on the EU PSN for PAL territories on December 22. Price has been set at € 5.99. No word yet on a US release, although those without EU PSN accounts can just make one and download from there.

One of my favorite Yasumi Matsuno games. Hope he makes a new one soon. I need a new Tactics Ogre game!

The price sounds very reasonable. Unfortunately, I never really liked the game; story, graphics nor battle system. Nonetheless, I think I finished the game twice for some strange reason.

I never really like the game too. The graphics were pretty good at the time, but I still did not like them (they were using the best 3D rendering, but I always prefer "less-aliased pictures"). The story looked good, but the combat system never got it going for me. If they would just make a 16x antialiasing filter for the game, I suppose I could try it... Dunno.
