US getting EyePet this year as well |
Ó

Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation Eye-compatible title EyePet will not be confined to a European release. The game will also be seeing a US launch this year.
No specific release date yet, but Joystiq reports that you can snag a copy of EyePet as either a standalone game or as part of a PlayStation Eye bundle in time for the holidays. Pricing has also yet to be announced.
EyePet is an augmented reality game that lets players interact with a virtual pet by way of the PlayStation Eye. Customization options for the virtual pet are also featured. Here's a trailer from last month's E3:

I've been wondering where and when I was going to get my hands on an EyePet :D He's sooo adorable!
I rolled my eyes a bit when I first heard of this and thought 'god not more nintendogs type crap' but the E3 video actually charmed me. I already have the Eye so I may as well check this out even if it's just to entertain my girlfriend's lil girl. Anything that can keep a kid happy while the grown ups can go in another room for some private time is good.
She's got me dancin'!!
