Ever since, I've been keeping an eye on the title that's been progressively showing itself. And as speculation has been going over online forums far and wide, the countdown ends with the unveiling of the next God of War title. Whether it be a GoW for the PSP or the PS3, no one has any official confirmation. But right now, we have... this:
Do note that this image of the title has been stuck there for a couple of days now. The first time I saw it like this when the counter was on the "7 days left" marker. Now "3 days left," the image has remained unchanged. As you can see, the first word ("Chains") of the sub-title has been revealed. Common sentiment in online discussions already has the full title dubbed as one of either three things. God of War: Chains of Fate/Time/Torment.
Personally though, to be comical about it, how do we know it's "God of War" to begin with? For all we know, it complete hit us right out of nowhere, with the full title being revealed as Goiter of War! *grin*
Well, we've got three days (as of writing) to go. And by that time, this whole Da Vinci Code cryptology spree will finally unravel itself. You can bet your "chains of whatever" that we'll have an updated screencap of what the countdown will end with. For now, this is what we have, and feel free to comment on what your guess of the title is.
UPDATE: Looks like everyone was wrong. It's not "Chains of Fate/Time/Torment", but something that (as far as this writer has is concerned) has never been mentioned before. Since yesterday's update (points to text above), a major part of the title has been exponentially revealed.
God of War: Chains of Olympus? Most probably. Well, Chain of Olymp-something - at the very least - that's for sure. Olympus, Olympians, Olympranazzasaznaffalots? Given this though, there's still that question: will God of War: Chain of Olymp-something be for the PSP or PS3? Time to stake your claim!

The producer said they'd make a psp game, so it's the psp version. It cannot be a ps3 version since next-gen games takes longer than current gen, and gow3 will take at least 2 years to complete, and a psp game take only some months to a year since the graphics are less detailed, and also because the producer said that the psp gow will be a kind of "chain of memory" that links the other games, it's NOT a port ( that's what he said ).

I just hope what ever it is now that Kratos has the power of the Fates He will be able to bring back his Wife and kid.
I wonder if it could be Chains of Torment. It could deal with a lot of Kratos past even some thing with the power of the Fates. Kratos has to find the Chain of Torment to Hurt the Gods the rest of there life.

If anyone had beat god of war 2 on titan mode they would know kratos was chained in hades, And it must be chains of hades. No I'm kidding. I havent beat Gow2 on titan mode, And I have no idea what this is. But it's Gow and ill have it.
Where's that one kid that was bustin' everybody's balls last time saying it was "Chariots of" yadda yadda. I should be thinking, "Aw man I suck," right about now. At any rate, Ready of Dawn is making the PSP version obviously, Daxter is thee most impressive looking game on the PSP, as well as load times, how massive the enviroments are, and pretty much every detail worked out. Reading back of "Where do you think the PSP will be in the next few years," Ready at Dawn states they only used 45% of the PSP's total power to make Daxter, and now they're up to about 80 for God of War, (Same article stated that), so I can't wait for it.
did you play gow2? ****(spoiler alert)**** Prometheus dies. I doubt that's the title of the game unless the titans kill hades or something and he gets released from hades. which would be awesome now that i think about it.

lol, the only descent games still being made for psp are from readya t dawn (first party), third aprties practically abandoned the psp already (look at sega and all the ds games they recently announced or square enix).
Doesn't anyone else find it odd that the word Chains is all the way to the left? I mean look at the lettering for GOD at the top, assuming that goes as far right as I think, and the title underneath is centred (as it should be) then the last word after chains is quite a long one.... longer than Promathis or Prometheus or anything like that.....

Since Kratos had the blades of Chaos in the 1st game which were attached to his arms with chains and he received the blades of Athena for the 2nd game If this chapter is meant to go between the 2 PS2 games could it not be Chains of Chaos? just a thought...
God of war Chains or somethin... we couldn't think of a subtitle but don't think we really need one cause the other two didn't have subtitles. That would explain the plenty of room to the right side for more stuff :D

I dont see why people are making stupid suggestions like memories, war, suffering, torment, etc. I agree with the people who say its probably chains of olympia or olympus, because it has olymp at the beginning. is Olymp at the beginning of memories? they could very well be announcing the PS3 God of War this early but so thats not the reason this is the PSP version. The reason is because its not God of War 3. Its a subtitled game like all handheld versions are. So its for the PSP. =)
