Unreal Tournament 3 - Image 1Several gamers rejoiced when Epic Games announced that Unreal Tournament 3 (PC, Xbox 360, PS3) was opened for user modding, but it seems that the gaming feature is causing headaches for several gamers who downloaded and installed user created content.

According to a poster in the Unreal Tournament forums, his game crashed while playing campaign mode. He restarted the PS3 in an attempt to fix the problem, but once he booted his copy of UT3 he only saw the following message:

It appears that the game either lost power or crashed, potentially due to user created content. Would you like to disable user created content? You can still delete and re-enable them in the My Content menu.

This poster also said that he imported all available PS3 UT3 user created mods, making him unable to pinpoint which mod is causing the problem.

Sounds like a serious problem indeed, and we hope that this will be fixed immediately so it wouldn't mar an otherwise spectacular feature. More updates to come!

Well...

Mods will not conflict with each other, well they shouldn't if epic is smart.....as it will only load the info it needs for whatever mod you are running. Also, I doubt this is a problem with the mods anyways.....considering he said he was playing campaign mode and not even playing one of the mods he downloaded......he just assumed to crash was because of mods because of the error message he got. However, something probably happened in the campaign menu that mimicked someone trying to do something crazy in a custom map.....so it just gave that error....I wouldn't worry too much.....sounds like a USER error more then anything...

Lies

Only very few people have been having crash errors with their games. The mods are nothing to blame.

what's so bad about this? A crash can always happen, this is normal. With so complicated structure, it's no wonder when it crashes sometimes . If it would crash everytime , that would be interesting. Just because one of ten thousands had a crash doesn't mean it's a problem of the user-made content nor the console.
