Unreal Tournament 2007 To Be Made Available Early 2007 |

UT Fans, rejoice! Midway Games has FINALLY announced the release of the much-anticipated game, Unreal Tournament 2007. Unfortunately, it won't quite make it in time for the holidays, as it'll only be available early 2007. A Midway Games spokesperson said that fans could get their hands on the UT 2007 PC version from January to June 2007.Interestingly, the game company has kept us in the dark regarding the release date of the game's PS3 version. Moreover, Midway hasn't said any detail regarding the PS3 version, but kept referring to it as the next-gen version. Rumors say that Epic Games received a hefty sum from Sony to promote the PS3 version of the game, while keeping mum about the Xbox 360 version. During the E3 2006, Midway said that the game will be made available for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Now, however, the company refutes this claim.
So, where will the "next-gen version" of UT 2007 really be - PS3, Xbox 360, or both? As of now, it's hard to tell. You'll be certain though, that we will keep you abreast on Unreal Tournament 2007 news and updates.

It will come out on all platforms...it has in the past and will continue to. IGN has it listed for 360 and PC as well...
IGN has lots of cams listed that are not Announced for any consloe besides that one.So IGN is not proof at all.So that point is moot.
how come in the last paragraph it says will it cvome out for the PS3? Don't you mean 360

Until Unreal Tournament is announced for the 360, it's just that, a rumour. A rumour that for all we know, isn't true. I can see Sony paying Epic some money to talk about the PS3 version, and even have it as a small timed exclusive. And this place needs to review their articles. To many mistakes. It should be "So, will there really be a 360 version of the game? As of now, it's hard to tell. You'll be certain though, that we will keep you abreast on Unreal Tournament 2007 news and updates." Besides. This place should post nice, postive articles about the PS3. Not negative stuff that could sway people.
well if i remember at GDC or something like that, wasnt there a playable ps3 version of this?like not a demo of the finished game, but it showed that the ps3 could handle UT2007 like the enreal 3 engine and the physics.any one else remember that? Unreal for the PS3 is a definate for sure. Unreal for the 360 is just a hope, a dream, that will never be realize. And what's sup with the article trying to make it look like Unreal won't be coming to the PS3? We all know, and it's been confirmed, that it WILL BE COMING TO THE PS3.

Epic is already working on the UT07 for the ps3 since E3 05 give me a reason them to cancel it at this moment. It's soooo ilogic. And to the 360 version it's posible because of the "easy to port" between PC and 360 but i haven't read anything about a 360 version, so it's just a rumor. BTW sorry for my english i'm from mexico =p
Well according to the first couple of posters, this seems to be a typo. URT is coming out for the PS3 and 360 is a rumor. Wow, for those that don't really know about this, this article is verrrry misleading. Either fix the typo, or take it off.
PC or PS3... I bet on the PC it will look the same as on PS3, if not better on the PC, because of more RAM. The PS3's bottleneck is definitely the RAM... 256MB are too less.
I wish people would realize that they did NOT announce a 360 version, it was a rumor by fanboys a long time ago. Epic did say it could be possible but it would not get the results they want due to the limitations of the system. Gears of war was built from the ground up for the 360 but yet is having a hard time pushing the engine, so its understandable why they are not bringing it to the 360.
This game is high on my PS3 games list, and you're right that a 360 version is still a rumour right now, but I know for a fact that Epic made no such comment about UT2007 on the 360. Epic didn't say they couldn't get the results they want on the 360 due to limitations because they have said nothing about the game on the 360, so that's probably another rumour started by fanboys on forums. Also, Gears of War is a totally different type of game, so you can't really compare it to UT2007. What we've seen of GeOW so far isn't even using the 360 to the full (single core, single threaded). Mark Rein recently said they've now implemented a multi-threaded renderer into the game, so the performance will be much better than we saw at E3. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=66314

Yes we finally get a littlte more info, even though it is just a rumor, at least we won't be getting it December 2007, I've always wanted to play this game online, but never had a PC. Know its coming on Ps3.
well it doesn't matter to me I hate unreal tournament anyways.
