Unreal Tournament 2007 Information Galore |
Ó
Unreal Tournament fans, rejoice as we deliver you yet another batch of juicy tidbits for Unreal Tournament 2007. Here are some details you don't wanna miss:
• Characters are 1500 time more in detail than in Unreal Tournament 2004. The Twin Souls Krieger (which are the heroes in the single player mode) with red armament and the Iron Guard soldier (which is still under the command series veterans of the Lauren) with yellow armament proves to be two of the well-known characters for this game.
• Epic is now striving for realism by opting for a "dirtier" setting as the earlier parts of the game looked somewhat too sterile.
• Unreal Tournament will now host 18 vehicles, six are from the well known vehicles from UT 2004. Among them the Goliath tank, the Manta, the Scorpion, and that RWS gate. Other vehicles include the Cicada (airplane with homing air-to-surface rockets), the Paladin (tank with eight wheels and energy sign), and the SPMA (troop transporter with full elite camera for search).
Still can't get enough? Well, here are two new screenshots and another video for you to relish:

Some of this stuff is already known, especially the part about making the levels dirtier. They talked about that at E3, and that video is soooo old.
Te physics on items and the environment look fine, but what the hell the deaths still look like old physics, I mean bodies fly sometiems near an explosion, and sometimes they "trip forward" or their body sord of glides into the ground, what the hell is up with that?
Not too impressed... seams like an "Xbox" quality game.... but whatever. Not enough interaction with the levels. Things should blow up more. But hey! they added a frekin hover board :D
This is UT people, not dodgy Halo :P Thank God Ut 07 is going to be more old school UT combined with the goods from 04 :D Note to all console gamers; If your desperate buy it for PS3, but everyone else buy it for PC. The HUGE amount of mods, total conversions, mutators, skins, character models, map packs, new vehicles is endless. Not to mention the UT community is huge, and WASD + Mouse is perfect for twich style UT gameplay. No game pad will ever be UT worthy.. Oh this is a fairly old video aswell... Go to gamespot to see the REAL NEW TRAILER. Sh**'s on this OLD trailer.
This is REALLY, REALLY OLD NEWS! I cant belive Qj actually had this posted. I read all this stuff ages ago, and not to mention again, this video is REALLY old aswell...
The PS3 has a harddrive too you know. And that means mods, new maps, etc is also possible on the PS3. Enough said. Anyway, looking good.
mouse keyboard is the way to play fps. control pads suck now as you can attach a mouse and keyboard to the ps3, and it is soo slick looking, and you can't complain that your hardware is worse than another person who is owning you... it's a good system, and i can see ps3 working well with ut2007 for starters, why bother with a pc (and all that graphics driver bs) when all you need is a 600 dollar ps3 (don't forget vista and a dx10 graphics card will nearly come to that much)... then you can later get mgs4! ps3 ftw
not mention any graphix card that will last you a long time will cost over 500
Unreal Tournament has not eveolved all that much since the first outing, whilst it was fun and exciting back then , it is not now however. Gamers are expecting something UNREAL and not better graphics and the same controls.
"vista by itself is gunna be 300+ not mention any graphix card that will last you a long time will cost over 500" Not true. Pick up a single 7800 or 7900 GT card for between 250-400 depending on your specific flavor. I have a 7800GT and its not even overclocked and I run FEAR fully rev'd with no chop. This game will be a bit more intensive, but my guess is it will run well even with the 7800gt. And while the 300$ price tag for Vista is completely fictional, (they have said little to none of a pricetag), Vista will not be required to play the game. Assuming most of us have XP at this point anyway, that means youll have to possibly upgrade your gfx card (for the eye candy) and maybe (just maybe) add a little RAM. All in all, I will probably buy it for PS3 then play with keyboard/mouse, but to say the PC version will be too costly to run is a kind of outrageous statement.
