Unreal Tournament 2007 for PS3 Only?

PSMIf rumors are to be believed, it seems that the studio behind Unreal Tournament 2007 - Epic Games - is developing a strong bias for the PS3, favoring the Sony console more than other gaming machines. In a January issue of PlayStation Magazine (PSM), there was an article saying that the said game would look and operate better on the PlayStation 3 than any of the top of the line gaming consoles out there.

And to add more firepower to the backfence talks that UT2K7 would be a PS3 exclusive (the PC will still have it of course), according to some gaming websites, Epic Games mentioned that they do not have any plans to release a Xbox 360 version of UT2K7. Well, now it is up to you if you'll believe this gossip or not. But still, we will keep you posted for developments.

but hey, if a more relyable source says that its going to be PS3 Exclusive, then ill believe it.

well they have tried o make it for the pc but they used 4 7800 graphics cards in it and it still monly got a max of 48 frames per sec. the reason is the physics. if they make it for the pc then you would have to buy an ageia ppu(physics processor unit) which would cost 250 to 350 dollars and you cant buy them seperately you have to buy a whole nw pc for 1.



they have stated ti=his in an article a couple of months back.



they said plain out that the 360 just doesnt have as much processesing power as the ps3, simply put. they said point blank in th article. qj.net covered it before



o guys if you go to ageia.com you can get a download of the newdemo of the game cellfactor for your pc. but the requirements are high so dont ever expect to get more than 30fps unless you have an ageia ppu.

If you go to ign.com the represetative of epic spciafally said that it would only go on the Ps3 and the pc , and that they have no plans on putting it on the 360.



Why all this debate for it is only one game that the ps3 has what is thier to argue about.



I have a 360 and I would rather have the game on the Ps3 so I can go by it and enjoy the exclusive features on it.

Im not that surprised if they release it for the pc and ps3 only, i mean, it demands alot of graphics power, which you most likely wont get out of the wii or 360, although, the 360 could maybe take a toned down version..

just to let you know #15, those were assessments and comments made by Microsoft, not ign.com. OBVIOUSLY Microsoft is going to be biased towards the XBox 360 by making such blatant inaccurate statements. just about every major 3rd party publisher agree on two things: 1. the XBox 360 is easier to develope for than the PS3: and 2. the PS3 has far more performance power than the XBox 360. these are simple facts.
