We're sure a lot of gamers have been wondering about Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (for the PlayStation 3). We saw the E3 trailer, grainy scans, and some leaked screenshots, but we're sure you've been waiting for additional info. Or perhaps another video.

Don't worry, it seems we won't have to wait long. News for Gamers (N4G) was able to score some details from a "reliable source". Reportedly, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is underway and on schedule. They quoted Naughty Dog's lead character artist, Richard Diamant:

The marketing train is moving! Pretty much every month there is going to be some kind of preview I believe somewhere. In terms of gameplay.. well.. I'm not sure when we are going to release that to the public.. but the ship date is coming up fast! So regardless it wont be too long of a wait!!

Diamant also hinted that we'll be seeing more of the action adventure title - on Gamer's Day. The Sony Gamer's Day will be held next week in San Diego. Definitely something to look forward to. The last time we saw Uncharted: Drake's Fortune's Nathan Drake was in an action-packed trailer set in a jungle. Diamant says that the in-game high resolution action and the cinematics will look the same:

The in-game version was built on top of the high res. Re-topologized to be low enough for games. Then a normal map was crated to get all the high detail of the original model. You will be able to move the camera around his face and see the same detail in game. Right now there is no difference between the game res and cinematic. So whatever res you see in the cinematic is there in game.

We'll be filing this under rumor until official announcements reaches our radars. We'll be sure to share the love, just stay tuned.

» Finally.

I've really been waiting for information on this game! Actually it's kind of an under-the-radar title imo. Not much talk about it (I think it's awesome though).
