So you guys have seen the teaser trailer for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves' multiplayer mode. From that trailer alone, it was pretty easy to see what we can expect in online co-op or competitive myultiplayer. But here's Naughty Dog game designer Justin Richmond giving us specific details.

Yeah you can watch the 7-minute video interview below, but here's a quick summary:
  • Elena and Sully are confirmed to be available in multiplayer mode, but there's no confirmation if they'll appear in the single-player campaign
  • Using propane tanks have an advantage and disadvantage. You can blow up your enemies with it, or, if the tank is shot while you're carrying it... ouch.
  • The Capture the Flag/Treasure mode is called Plunder.
  • There are melee one-hit kills: sneaking from behind and cracking their necks or throwing people off ledges - just make sure you're not caught
There's also a section in the interview where Richmond compares Uncharted 2's multiplayer with that of Resident Evil 5's.

Like RE5

As long as it doesn't have the two little screens it's all good. Why the hell did RE5 have two little screens for anyway.

I'm not gonna lie, it's looking pretty good.

I never had the pleasure of owning the first Uncharted, but I messed around with it at a friend's house and enjoyed the small bit I played. But things like co-op, multiplayer matches, AWESOME SNOW (lol :P) among other things may make me play through the first one and pick this one up.

...

Was buying the game anyways for what's hopefully a fantastic single player story mode (least based on the excellent original). This multiplayer stuff is just one heck of a hugely nice bonus.
