No more rumors and speculations, today we finally have a solid release date of the much awaited second outing of Nathan Drake on the PS3. Sony has revealed to Kotaku that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. on October 13 with Europe getting the game on the 23rd . But that's not all, they also revealed the final box art and pre-order goodies of the game. Four retailers has been choosen by Sony to offer exclusive pre-oder items for the game. Best buy will offer two golden weapons in multiplayer, a golden Baretta and AK-47. Amazon will have exclusive Treasure Map to unlock hidden treasures of the game. An Exclusive Currency Multiplier for multiplayer online use will be available for those who will pre-order at Game Crazy and GameStop will have an exclusive first access to the Multiplayer Demo and the downloadable Revenge Attribute.
Accoring to Kotaku:
The GameStop exclusive access to the multiplayer demo will run from September 9th to September 29th, giving folks who pre-order at that location a two week head start on the demo. It will open to the public on September 30th and wrap-up on Uncharted 2's release day.
Also, if you really like to plan ahead, these downloads will be available to those who pre-order until December 31, 2009.
