Ugly PS3 wireless keypad going for 10 bucks |
Ó
It's not pretty to look at, but wait till you see the pricetag. Blazepro is offering an alternative to the PlayStation 3's wireless keypad with their own US$ 10.90 clip-on wireless keypad. That's quite a few greens off of Sony's official one, which costs US$ 49.99. If you don't mind having ugly all over your controller to save a few bucks, then you should take a look at it.
The downside is that it doesn't use bluetooth, but uses its own 2.4GHz USB dongle. There is also no mention of how the device is powered. If that tragedy of aesthetics is powered by batteries I'd rather cough up the extra cash for the official Sony one. Also no word on whether it doubles as a touch pad, though I can live without it.
There are only two reviews up for the device so far, but they lack details on how the device actually performs, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were made by the actual manufacturers of the device. Still, if you wanna know more, clicky the source linky.

I'll just keep on using my big a$$ oversized keyboard, until the official one gets a price drop
the only downside i find is the lack of a backlight but the rest is perfect, even the touchpad(which i thought i wouldnt enjoy) works great. i even use the keypad wit my laptop now (when i have it hooked up 2 my TV of course)
but still not going to buy it!!! no need for it.... only in linux
This again? Did something about it change?
what is the point of linux on ps3? Wouldn't it be incredibly slow because of the mere 256 mb of available ram and no access to GPU? Does the internet work faster or something?
You're probably thinking about the one from Speedlink. That one costs 40 bucks. Link in related articles.
They both look the same. "Ugly PS3 wireless keypad" XD Isaac you're hilarious.
I have this keypad but its made by MadCatz. (heres the link: http://www.madcatz.com/Default.asp?Page=356&CategoryImg=PS3_Accessories) It comes with an internal rechargeable battery that actually lasts surprisingly long. the only thing is that the buttons are hard to press and make extra letters appear occasionally. If this is the same keyboard for $10 instead of $30, then I'd say its a good deal.
OMFG LOOKS LIKE MY NANS FACE!
