Ubisoft hints on Haze's new target release date: August 2008 - Image 1Ubisoft announced back in November 2007 that some of its highly-anticipated video games will not be able to make their scheduled release dates.

One of the games listed was the PlayStation 3 exclusive Haze which was pushed back to the Q1 2008. We hate to break the bad news to you but it seems that FPS-loving gamers might need to find some other things to do to keep themselves busy.

Haze is reportedly being pushed back again with a new target release of August 2008. While Ubisoft has yet to issue an official statement about the matter, its online store has revealed the new information on its product page for Free Radical Design's futuristic game set in a war-torn country.

Despite the delay, Haze is currently being offered over Ubisoft's online store as a pre-order for US$ 59.99. Interested parties may place an order via the Source link below.

» thats crap!

but according to the development blogs of Free Radical Design, they've finished the game!

I bet its those swines at Ubisoft not wanting to compete with MGS4 and Killzone 2...

GRRRR!

» Well

If they push it back that far then might as well cancel the game, or change/add a hella lot of elements and the change the story if it takes them that long to complete a game almost another year of their planned released date.

I see that as a good thing...let Free Radical take their time. They are probably polishing the game and adding some finishing touches. People have to learn how be patient.

» It's good that they suck?

You're actually happy the game got delayed for a year? You sure have low expectations, I guess thats why you bought a Playstation 3 to begin with.

I agree. Tho I'm still skeptical about this news. I was farily confident they were just about done with it for a while now... and it's being pushed till august?

Word has it killzone 2 wont hit till fall 08... so its not like it has that to compete with.

» Its Not A Good Thing

If you company has to delay a game for almost a whole other year of it's intended release date, that could only mean that the game is either far from complete or it has a crap load of problems with it. Also, I don't think that it takes a game developer 8 months to freaking polish up a game or add some finishing touches to it.

» get the f**k out!

free radical are one of the best dev teams in the world. (in fact, I'd probably cream my pants if I got the opportunity to work with them after finishing university). They, sir, do not suck.

Apparently this date is wrong anyway.
