Today, Ubisoft announced the official release date of the multi-platform Ton Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, which is now slated for a March 21 release.

The game is the ninth title in the Rainbow Six series and will deliver the same squad-based FPS action goodness that the Tom Clancy line of games is best known for. Vegas 2 puts you in the role of Bishop, the newest member of the highly elite Rainbow squad.

Vegas 2 is a direct sequel to the first title and runs somewhat alongside the events of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas (PC, Xbox 360, PS3). The game will feature several new weapons and multiplayer maps to wade through as players get to explore the seedier side of the city where the game is based on.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2's March 21 release date coincides with the tenth anniversary of the Rainbow Six franchise. The game will be released for the PC, Microsoft's Xbox 360, and Sony's PlayStation 3.
