Turok for the PS3 and Xbox360 screens - Image 1

Turok for the next gen consoles (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) is looking to impress. The old franchise's reputation was definitely marred by the not-so-great performance of 2002's Turok: Evolution, so Propaganda Games is working hard to bring new life into the series. We've got some new screenshots to show just how hard Propaganda Games is doing on the title.

This Turok title was revamped and set on another planet entirely.  Players will be in the shoes of Joseph Turok, an ex-Black Ops commando, looking to thwart the evil plans of his mentor Roland Kane. The gameplay boils down to two objectives - stop Kane and stay alive. Survival of the fittest rules above all else, as mutated dinosaurs, man-eating plants, and giant insects won't hesitate to gnaw on you. The screenshots look great so far, let's hope they continue with the good work.

Turok's exact North American release for the PS3 and Xbox360 is still unannounced, though the tentative date has Fall stamped on it. We'll keep an eye on this one, so stay tuned.

» I so excite!

I'm personally excited for this game. I remember way back when four player deathmatch in Seeds of Evil and one person being a raptor. And also Monkey Tag was fun as hell too.

Looks awesome. The first and second Turok games were awesome. I hope this game includes those ridiculous weapons from the first. Such as the minigun, the nuke launcher, etc.

» the minigun?

who cares about that when the best most dangerous weapon was simply called the CEREBRAL BORE!!!!! it basically sent a projectile which aimed at the brain of the enemy and it drilled right thru.. was simply too good
