That thing is friggin beautiful. I love the silver accents, nice way to cleary distinguish the two models. I really hate my 360 now(lookswise), it will look so out of place(already does) in my entertainment center once I bring this sleek, high tech, reason to never go outside again piece of equipment into my home. Job well done Sony.

The thing looks much nicer than the original silver or grey version they used to show. Much nicer.



I still am not sure how much I like that it will be the biggest console, even bigger than the Xbox.



It will be interesting to see what excuse the Japanese use to justify their love for this HUGE box when they said the original Xbox was too big.



Nice though to see it with some decent pictures. Can't wait for launch.

i got to try a ps3, and... there is something sony is hiding from the public. the people at QJ, try to publish this, cause this is true. the ps3 has to be upgraded. the video card, the ram, and basicly anything the a computer needs to be upgraded with. this means some games wont work unless u get a certain piece of hardware. this is not a hoax!!!

So, if we need to buy components to play games, what's the difference between Sony and, say, Microsoft's HD-DVD drive for the 360 or Nintendo's N64 Expansion Pack?



There's no way in hell you can release an 'upgradable' console. No one ever develops for anything that's not 'out of the box' (PS2 HDD?) because it's too risky to make content specifically for 'optional' equiptment that most people never bought.



We have to upgrade EVERYTHING to play future games??!!

i too am getting a ps3. i think that sonys idea of an upgradable system is cool. i just dont like that sony kept it secret. This is one way for sony to keep their system alive for a long time. if the system gets outdated, u upgrade. it would cost less then getting a new system. i dont know why u guys have anything against sonys plan. yes, i have a 360, but i also have a ps2 and a psp. i dont have anything against any company that is out right now.

Well fartist, I give you more credit for actually trying to provide link to support your claim. You don't seem like someone who is talking out of their ass anymore, but instead as someone who has misunderstood something.



The link with the article talks about what we've already known for so long. There will be upgrades. The article does not mention ANYTHING about ram or graphics card type of components that you can change. All it mentions is quote "possible to upgrade hard drives and perhaps even other components easily." I think you misunderstood on the "other components" part. These other components so far have been confirmed to be things such as plugging in a router to make up for the lack of wifi in the core PS3, usb devices on the market for things such as the lack of flash memory support on the PS3 core version, etc. No where has Sony ever said you could upgrade the cell, ram, or other big time hardware of the PS3. As mentioned earlier, you can't even put a HDMI output onto the Core edition so why would they let you change their other key compents?



Simply put, you and this "spokesmen" that you mentioned have misinterpret the issue of PS3 updates. If you still think you're right then find me another link that says exactly what your proclaiming.
