L.A. Noire - Image 1It's been a while since we heard anything on Rockstar Games and Team Bondi's next-gen adventure title, L.A. Noire. That's about to change today, though, as we picked up on updates from no less than Tom Crago, CEO of Tantalus and president of Game Developers' Association of Australia.

Speaking at the GC Asia 2008 yesterday, Crago said "it's got - I'd suggest - another year or so to go." He also predicted that it may very well be "the biggest budget videogame in development in the world. It would certainly... in terms of console titles, be in the top ten... L.A. Noire is a massive massive project."

If that's the case, then it's starting to make sense why the devs have been keeping mum about it. Although, despite this whole secrecy going on, there still have been a lot of rumors going on about the exclusivity of the said title. It was originally announced to be a PS3 exclusive title, however, unconfirmed reports surfaced early this year that it will also be brought over to the PS3.

Crago's statement on this does little to quiet the rumor down as he mentioned that it will be coming to both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. Neither Rockstar nor Team Bondi have said anything about this, however.

Regardless, L.A. Noire is being looked at as the game that will put Australia back in the videogames development map.

It's one that we hold huge hopes for. It has been said about Australia that we've not been successful putting out a title that really has set the world on fire; a big budget title that's sold multiple million copies and that has really put us on the map as a hub for videogame development. There are plenty of people who are hoping that L.A. Noire will be that title.

Should be "brought over to the 360"

I'm so pumped for this, I hope it stays PS3 exclusive though so that I can actually get more use from my PS3

I wish it was a 360 exclusive. That way it would be the same quality as a PS3 version, but come out 6 months earlier.

» Why does it have to be an exclusive for the PS3 for you to want to play it?

Are you saying that you wouldnt play the game if it comes out on the 360 too? That is stupid. I hate fanboys.

If you finished reading my post you'd see I want it to stay exclusive to get more use out of my $400, is that so wrong? I hate people who don't fully read posts and respond accusing others to be fanboys. I have a 360 too, and if you were active on the site at all you'd probably see me commenting, dumbass

» I fully read your post.

And your still an idiot. Its not wrong but its just retarded. Calling me a dumbass because I dont pay attention to the names of the people who write stupid comments that dont make any sense. I still dont understand why the game has to be a PS3 exclusive for you to want to play it on your PS3. You might not be a fanboy but you are a loser.
