Let loose the dogs of war in Tom Clancys EndWar - Image 1When a game like Tom Clancy's EndWar (PS3, Xbox 360) is set to come out on more than one system, players may understandably be concerned about version differences. Fortunately, Ubisoft producer Guillaume Brunier took the time to reassure players and to lay their fears to rest.

According to Brunier,  the PS3 version of Tom Clancy's EndWar will "offer the exact same feature set as the Xbox 360 version." That means voice command, 4-on-4 multiplayer games, and a persistent online campaign. Brunier added, however, that Ubisoft will be adding "a few handy SIXAXIS controls."

Another interesting thing to note is the composition and the interaction of the team members with one another. Brunier mentioned that some of the people who worked on Assassin's Creed (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) are helping them out. Furthermore, the PS3 development team is coordinating with the Xbox 360 team for best results. As Brunier put it:

End War X360 guys seat just upstairs so we see them all the time and they are reaaaaaaaally cool. We are actually sharing some key members to make sure we provide the same experience on both platforms. Working together goes both ways so whatever worthy implementation is done on one side is taken by the other side.

In closing, Brunier said that the Ubisoft team members are doing their best to make the gameplay experience of Tom Clancy's EndWar as smooth as they can possibly make it. These days, they're playing Call Of Duty 4, Patapon, Super Mario Galaxy, Warcraft 3. They also haven't ordered too much junk food till now.

sounds great, that's how it should always be done.

# PS3 = superior versionDNAgent 2008-04-01 02:28
However, it will only be the superior version if it has keyboard & mouse support. If not then the whole game will fail (unless it's also coming out for PC).

lol, console RTS.

This is how multi-platform development should ALWAYS be done. These guys are working in a friendly environment, actually sharing tech and key members, and getting both games done properly.

In a sense, this is exactly how gamers should treat each other. Who really cares that you have an Xbox 360 and feel it's the better console? Sure, for YOU in might be the better console, but there are others with other opinions and preferences. I mean, there's an entire website right now dedicated to luring people in and having them talk about what system is better. It's just sad. Even back in the PS1 vs. N64 vs. Dreamcast days it wasn't this bad.

Gamers should unite just like how these devs are. If you honestly think that just because you talk trash about one system, and it will make a lasting impact on the world, you're sadly mistaken. If you own one system, good game. Own more than one, good game. Just sit down and have fun.

That's all that matters.
