Titan Studios addressing Fat Princess issues

Since the release of their PSN heavyweight, Fat Princess, Titan Studios has been hard at work on fixing all the issues that's been keeping her highness from running smoothly. They've read the emails, they've read the complaints, and they're just as frustrated as you are. Through their very own dev blog, the developers let us know what kind of cake they're baking to sate the gaming appetite.

For starters, a patch to fix all known issues is already in testing phase. This is based from the emails and feedback that the team has received, including their own observations. If you find something that isn't among the problems enumerated below, by all means, tell them about it.
  • Failed Game Connections
  • Lag
  • Hosting Problems
  • AoE Scoring Exploits
  • Stalemates
  • Missing Princess (on certain levels)
  • Dead Hat Machines
  • Scoreboard Issues (only top 1000 scores shown)
  • Ranking System Problems
There will also be balance fixes as well as features to be added to make the cake-feeding experience a hell lot fatter. Among those they're working on are:
  • Changes to Ranking System
  • Changes to Scoring System
  • Stalemate Breakers (e.g. – Finite Cake, Slim Fast Princess)
  • Server Lists
  • Clan Management
  • Hosted Servers
  • Class Balance
  • More Classes
  • More Class Upgrades
  • More Maps
  • More Modes
  • More Sports
  • Even Fatter Princesses
  • Unbelievably Fat Gargantuan Princesses
I love the sound of the last two. Poor workers will have a job getting her off the ground. Then again, it'll be a bigger challenge to make sure you get her back before she bloats up that big. Even if she does, well, it'll be funny trying to forklift her out of the base.

Titan Studios is also working on an FAQ as well as a tips and strategies page to help the newcomers with playing the game. As for the aforementioned patch, there's still no date, so let's just hope it comes real soon.

Thinking about getting this one. Might set me back for my BF1943 (still trying to get it, curse you Dice for pricing it that high!) but I'm really looking forward to joining the battle as a (cannon fodder) soldier for the cause of saving our team's princess.

I have the game.. and for me at least the problems aren't even major. I've have a few disconnects but thats about all. Never had lag or a missing princess. Actually I don't think I've had anything besides a disconnect.



For Digolgrin if you like using your Mic there is one major problem in that game... The Mics work in the pre-game lobby but when you launch the game 9 times out of 10 it stops working. The game gets old fast without being able to communicate in my opinion. And so far I haven't heard any word from Dice about a patch... On the UK forum their saying that the problem is probably on our side (yet mics work in every other game I have).



We'll see, but I think Fat princess will get more support than 1943.

i hadn't any issues while playing what so ever, besides the quick lag/freeze thing but that didnt really effect anything, but i like the the fatter princessess, katamari enfused princess mode perhaps?

The game is fun, crazy fun! There is always going to be a little buggies, and the single player is still hella fun. The only problem I had was connecting sometimes. But when I did, lag wasn't that bad at all! I'm just surprised they're already jumping on problems. The people at 2k games could learn from this!

Smash bros. is great fun but I want fat princess to be the awesome 4 player game that gets turned on when people come over! The game is built for co-op.
