Guncon 3 for Time Crisis 4 - Image 1

Heads up, we've got some screens from Famitsu on Namco Bandai and NeX Entertainment's Time Crisis 4. Not only that but also a bit of a preview of the new mode made available for the PS3 shooter. Yeah, the arcade mode will be intact, but a unique "Guncon FPS" mode is also incorporated.

Arcade mode will follow the usual gameplay as seen in the, well, arcade. However this "Full Mission Mode" will be exclusively new for the PS3 version. This mode will have new scenarios to compliment those in arcade mode, and gameplay would be different: here's where the FPS free-roaming aspect kicks in.

Full Mission Mode will fully maximize that nifty Guncon 3 peripheral (it's got two analog sticks, baby!). The newly designed light gun will allow you to perform unique moves - y'know, jump, crouch, the works - and break free from the usual rail-shooting gameplay you've been familiar with in other Time Crisis games.

Oh, and for those who were wondering, Amazon's got Time Crisis 4 listed at US$ 89.99 and that's *with* the Guncon 3.

Time to reload, here are more screenshots for the game:

that black gun...........orange one sucks and I know they wont give us a black one cause its a against the law but they could make like a orange tip like toy guns or somthin.

lefty

Will there be a left-handed gun?

Import for the Black GunCon

I'm assuming like the other games you really wont need to read anything, so glad games are region free. Obviously I'll have to do a little research when it launches (or close to it) and make sure but that's what I'm hoping to do anyway.. Hell, maybe it'll even have multiple languages.

Could be done

I am pretty good at reverse engineering and modding so i plan on getting it and repainting it. In the past i've repainted the original guncon and a nes zapper gun and they both work fine so i feel comfortable ripping it up as soon as i get it.

hmm

I would like it if the controller bit on the end of the gun was detachable so in the pure arcade mode which doesnt use it you would be able to hold the gun in a more traditional way.

controller

if that gun is gonna be the controller....its not really common now, thats something im gonna have to get used to, like i said you never see those anymore, and if you do then they are at arcades....which those suck

@ Someone

It's called an arcade port.
by Vietone - 2007-06-18 12:24:52
..

Yeah it's an arcade port and I am glad they kept he graphics similar. This adds to the TimeCrisis theme just like how the crappy halo3 graphics add to the Halo theme.
