Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08's GamerNet and PhotoFace discussed |
Ó
Mike mainly talks about the GamerNET, a new feature that measures every move you make in the game and allows you to upload the clip to share it with everyone online. The feature works great not only for showing off, but also for earning points that will enhance your saved game.
Also discussed was the Photo Face feature that allows you to take a snapshot of yourself or download an image online and have a created golfer put it on. The amazing thing about this is that the game generates expressions using the image data, so your face will react realistically on any given situation and not remain stone-faced, staring at nothingness all the time. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 is headed for the Microsoft Xbox 360, the Sony PlayStation 3, and the PC.

I'd love to talk to you about the game face feature.
As well as every one else would. As soon as ea gets their act together and fixes their upload problem.
MAJOR problem there. Rest of the game is good though.
i like that new gamernet thing where you can upload your challenges for other people to try
I caught the demo, and then released it. If anything the presentation seems less polished than before. I did notice some graphical improvements. Gamernet sounds intriguing, but didn't seem to be available at all in the demo.
As far as improved facial animation, I think they are laboring under a huge misapprehension, if they people are even going to bother with the animations past the first couple rounds of golf. In fact the single best feature they could add would be to skip all the wasted time in the setup and reaction clips. They just don't have enough variety to keep them interesting.
i have completely given up on EA games. there just not worth 60 bucks. there garbage. every year the same thing with a couple of added features. not worth it until they become platinum hits
