THQ confirmed as 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand publisher, coming early 2009 |
Ó
Finally, we have confirmation that THQ is indeed the publisher for the new 50 Cent title, Blood on the Sand. It's been previously spotted in games listings, but up until today, THQ's involvement in the game were mere speculations. Those speculations are now put to rest with a press wire sent out by THQ announcing their acquisition of publishing rights for 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. Says Brad Carraway, VP, Global Brand Management for the company:
50 Cent is a cultural icon and one of the biggest names in hip hop. THQ is thrilled to be working with him on this exciting new title. Combining intense single player combat, drop-in and drop-out online co-op and never-before-released music tracks makes this the ultimate package for gamers and hip hop fans alike.
Even 50 Cent himself had a little sumthin-sumthin to say in the press statement:
Blood on the Sand has non-stop action and exclusive music tracks from me and the G-Unit that you won't find anywhere else. Plus our fans will be able to play together with online co-op, and maybe even join me or one of the G-Unit online.
That sure is quite an invitation, don't you think? 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand comes out for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 and is expected to be released worldwide in early 2009.

If no one actually gets this game and it turns out to be one of the best games ever made gameplaywise and storywise
when the his first game came out when i worked at game stop maybe 3 copys were bought. The game went from $49.99 to $19.99 very quick. And this game is going to fail just the same
2009.... too soon.
can't they stall it another 1... 2... maybe 50 years? at least until 50 cent is culturally irrelevant? D:
once review sites start lauding it as one of the greatest games of all time everyone will rush out to buy a copy.
