Conan - Image 1A couple of days ago, we shared with you the first two screenshots for the new Conan (360, PS3) videogame from Nihilistic Software. The game is expected to become available in early 2008 both for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

THQ now mentions that this is actually the first product from its multi-year licensing agreement to develop videogames based on the popular character. Executive Vice President Jack Sorensen shares,

The strength and diversity of the Conan brand lends itself extremely well to the interactive format. Through intense combat, familiar environments and next generation visuals, we believe Conan fans and action adventure enthusiasts alike are certain to embrace this future addition to the Conan universe.

Details are still scarce at the moment, but THQ promises the new game will remain faithful to the legend's story of epic brutality, sheer evil, and visceral combat. THQ added that fans will surely enjoy playing as Conan because of the "deep and gratifying" combat system. Likewise, an array of weapons as well as fighting styles will be available to players.
