THQ announces launch delay for Saints Row 2 |

We've got some bad new for the guys who were all set for Saints Row 2's (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) expected arrival this August 26. THQ has sent word that the game has been delayed and will instead be launching on October 16, putting it squarely in the company's fiscal third quarter.The company further explained that the delay was due to product quality and marketing considerations for this upcoming title. THQ's certainly playing it safe this time around in light of its considerable net losses during the previous fourth quarter.
The company is currently looking into measures to stabilize the situation, which included job cuts, and a second look at how it graded the games it's churning out. Saints Row 2's delay due to quality concerns indicates that the latter plan is well underway. That said, we'll let you know in case we run into any further updates regarding this matter.

Same thing happened with GTA IV when they moved it from october to April of the following year
The game won't be good I suppose, but it's always cool to have a GAT-like game to play around. Especially since you have offline coop (at least I hope). I suppose I'll buy it used, dunno.
actually this game will beat GTAiV,when i had a 360 this was my only game i played it everyday its so fun the online the story mode it brought it to life for me becasue i was able to make me on the game,the customization options are just so good theres so much to customize your car,person,hous e,gang lobby(sr2) and this one will have full story co-op and still have the competitive online that i loved,theres still people that play sr on xbox 360 now they have gtaiv also but they choose to play this game,SR2 will set the standards and it will take GTAiV's place TRUST ME once you play it you wont want to stop believe me i know,Saints Row 1 was probably my favorite game i ever played it just got overlooked because it wasnt on ps3 and 360 but now that its coming to PS3 its going to be so much better and bigger,as long as people with ps3 buy a damn mic jesus i hate people who dont have mics

Saints Row is a crappy knock off of GTA.
You cant beat the best, GTA is the best game ive ever played, I had Saints Row, It sucked.

how is GTAiV gonna be better then SAINTS ROW 2 when SAINTS ROW 1 had more things to do then the 4th GTA?? that makes no since R* is *****in up they took way to much ***** out of it the story aint even that good i already beat it you cant buy house,the clothes are limited,no jewelry the only thing good about GTAiV is Online Free Roam other then that the online is garbage and so is that game who the ***** wants to play as some russian person when they can go on SAINTS ROW and play as their selves on a game my point is proven R* is going down hill while SAINTS ROW is going to take over the hill and be KING.!!!!!! or should i say SAINT
who ever owns a PS3 like me, but i own 360 too and i have to say saints row is more funner its not bad at all, and COD4 killed it every one still plays that crap
So I can smoke it too. Seriously, I will be amazed if this game pushes even a THIRD the numbers that GTA IV has sold. Sorry to burst your bubble, but stupid gimmicks do not equal up or surpass amazing story. That and Saints Row just sucks.
umm i can careless how many it sells of course its not going to sell as much as gtaiv but umm i dont think theres any game thats going to sell that much,gtaiv was one of the most overhyped video games ever i swear i know people who bought it at midnight and returned it that very same day,so i can carless about numbers or how much it will sell,the all in all SAINTS ROW is a better game,more customizin better multi-player,better story it actually makes since not a new character every damn game its you in both games you take over the city and get betrayed then you come back and take it back,,let me ask you Have you even beaten the SAINTS ROW story? or are you just a gta fanboy?
