The game's console version - dubbed The Witcher: Rise of the Wolf - will sport a new engine, new models, and more polygons compared to the PC original. It'll also have dynamic stuff up the wazoo: dynamic lighting, dynamic shadows, a more dynamic combat system... the works.
For the PS3 version, SIXAXIS support will be one of the game's features. Achievements and Trophies will also be supported.
You can find out more about The Witcher's console versions in the announcement trailer below. The one in the source link is better, but I couldn't embed it. The vid's got some cool sword combat sequences, but it looks like it's all from cutscenes. We'll have to wait a bit before we see what the new engine is capable of.

I didn't like the controls and camera on PC, so couldn't play it. This looks very promising as a console game!
This is cool, cuz I was sort of wanting to try this game on PC, and my PCs suck, so yeah, this'll be better.
I really wanted this to make it to the PS3, i hope it doesn't get canceled
Now if only the mobile game The Witcher: Crimson Trail makes it to the PSP.
The Witcher looks like a great worthy game for consoles! I think if they get the controls right it can easily be as good as Fallout 3. The Witcher looks like a role playing game with a lot of depth. I'm looking forward to it and may pick it up for PS3 when it's released.

You should really try this game. I played through it on my PC and it's an amazing RPG.
Considering this was dveloped by ukrainian! developers they really did a great job.
Sure it has some bugs and the gameplay was repitive at some point, but most the bugs should be fixed by now and with some expansions this could become a great game.

I remember when it came out, it got terrible reviews because it was supposedly one of the bugiest games ever, so I stayed away from it. Have those been fixed?
