Well, the Trophy patch rumors really got our hopes up - I was already looking at my old MGS4 at home thinking I'd play it again soon. The bubble has burst - neither Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots nor Valkyria Chronicles is getting a Trophy patch. The "really good game" to get Trophies is Uncharted 2.
Unlike what Drake's Fortune got back then, Among Thieves already has Trophy support. What the big hubbub is all about is the game's new DLC, which adds skins, maps, and yes, more Trophies. All the new content are based from Drake's Fortune - extra skins featuring the characters from the firsst Uncharted - like Eddy Raja, Navarro, and Gabriel Roman. The new maps will be set around the Customs House that you used to jump around in.

These will be the additional Trophies:
- Sneaky... - Get 50 Stealth Kills
- Brass Knuckles - Get 100 Melee Kills
- Tastes Like Chicken - Get 20 BBQ Medals
- Rapid Fire - Get 7 Tripled Medals in Deathmatch
- I Told You I Was Hardcore! - Complete All 3 Co-op Objective Maps on Hard Difficulty
- Made It - Finish Wave 10 in one Survival Game
- Gold Digger - Finish Wave 10 in one Gold Rush Game
- Wipe Them Out... - Win 50 Deathmatch Games
- Plays Well With Others - Win 50 Objective Games
- Still Alive - Win 50 Elimination Games
- Plundered! - Get 200 Captured Medals
- Cold Blooded - Get 2,500 Kills in Deathmatch or Elimination games
There will be 12 in-game multiplayer medals to earn as well:
- Tip Off – Be the First Player to Grab the Treasure in Plunder
- Protectorate – Shoot and Kill 5 Enemies that were Damaging the Treasure Carrier
- No Cigar – Kill the Treasure Carrier while They are about to Score
- None Shall Pass – Get 5 Kills while in the Hill during a King of the Hill
- First! – Get the First Kill of the Game
- Finish Him! – Get the Last Kill of the Game
- Retaliation – Kill the Last Player that Killed You
- Defender – Kill a Player that is Actively Shooting One of Your Teammates
- That Was Embarrassing – Earn a Shutout in Plunder
- Put'em Down – Kill Someone in the Knockdown State with a Pistol Weapon
- Unlucky – Die 5 Times in a Row without Getting a Kill
- Tricky – Kill a Player with a Pistol Weapon while Hanging
The skins will be priced at US$ 2.99, while the extra maps are for US$3.99. You can get both in a bundle for US$ 5.99. All content will head for all regions, though North America is the only one with a date, set at February 25th.

However, if you're a completionist, they're a good way to encourage gameplay outside of normal gameplay.
The adding of trophies in Uncharted 2 is to keep people playing the game, rather than trading it in.

Real achievement is getting a gud woman, house, work, money an maybe kids.>!! Thats the real trophies guys!

Pretty much. Just gives you a sense of accomplishment for doing something like passing a certain point or completing a difficult task. Same thing with Accomplishments with the 360.
Anyway, it makes me feel good when getting one lol

Why they cant implement trophies for mgs4 is beyond me because thats just as stupid as holding back ps3 cross chat which SHOULD of been there in the first place.
We can all blame it on the lazy and greedy corporations cuz theres absolutely no valid reason why they cant do this,basically they make the possible seem impossible so fuck em greedy ass foos

I aint whining about cross chat as i dont even use my ps3 for gaming, mostly for media. All I'm saying is that there are some ppl out there who would like certain features(ie crosschat).
Just because u dont need that feature does not make YOU the majority.I'm just giving examples of what they should've implemented by now as requested by their OWN customers who they seem to be screwing over time after time.
Seems like every company out there employs M$ tactics by fucking their customers over by providing shoddy service and reluctantly refuse to accept customer feedback.
