Welcome to the first edition of the Quick Jump Quick List! If you haven't heard yet, it's our new column which appears twice a month to give the readers a list of anything under the gaming sun. It could be anything from a prototypical top ten list or a laundry list like this one. Remember, this is the first edition of the QuickList and it would rock if you guys can be a part of it by posting your thoughts. Enjoy!

Okay, so Hideo Kojima disappointed us all in the recent GDC when he didn't say or show anything new about the upcoming biggie - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the Sony PlayStation 3. That doesn't mean we can't have fun, though. One of the selling points of the respected franchise is its riveting storyline, so we decided to dwell on that.

The MGS story is tough to predict and even if you analyze the information given, Kojima and company still find ways to keep you dumbfounded. Throwing logic out of the window, here now is our completely shallow and totally un-analyzed Seven MGS4 plot twists that we see coming:

7. Vamp is still out there- It's a no-brainer. He's still alive. Everyone knows it and the bisexual vampire will be in the PS3. He's just too cool to have in only one game.

6. Meryl will give us trouble again- We smell another escort mission like what we did with Emma in MGS2 and EVA in MGS3. Those are never fun, except for the sniping part at the Big Shell.

5. Raiden will die- We've got a funny feeling that Olga's child is all grown up now and the kid would have been trained by the Patriots to kill Snake. Snake wouldn't have the heart to do it, so Raiden will have to find some way to get himself killed, killing Olga's son in the process. For those of you who didn't play MGS2, Raiden and Olga's kid both have nanomachines in their bodies. They're linked in such a way that if Raiden dies, the Gurlukuvich kid also dies because his nanos will kill him. Either that or Liquid Ocelot appears out of nowhere and nonchalantly shoots them both.

4. Snake will finally pilot a - Metal Gear- Okay, we're pushing it here and we have nothing to back it up. Still, it seems fun to finally know how running the darn thing feels like while fighting soldiers equipped with stingers.

3. Ocelot will regain control over his body- The sly old Russian cowboy-ish CIA agent-turned Patriot accomplice seems to have been taken over by Liquid Snake in MGS2 after he attached Liquid's arm to his own decapitated limb, but we think he's too slick to just disappear like that. We say he's been playing Liquid again and he'll take control to finally get that showdown with Snake going.

2. Otacon is working for the Patriots- Yup, that dirty, mother-loving (shh... he had a relationship with his stepmom) Hal Emmerich has "traitor" written all over him. He's probably been misguiding Snake into wild goose chases all these years and chucks his guts laughing when he's alone in his room.

1. Snake has a clone- With all the blood he's been leaking all over the place, the Patriots have probably cloned Snake using that and replaced the brain with that of Big Boss's. That way, we'll have a young Big Boss all over again so he can star in the next MGS games because Konami knows as well as we all do that Raiden can't carry the show twice.

0. The Identity of the Patriots! - Some theorize that The Patriots are a computer program. We say that's not true. Remember the S3 simulation discussed in the endgame of MGS2? It didn't stand for Solid Snake Simulation. It was a program to sanitize free will and freedom of expression. 3.He'll probably have Liquid's arm cut off by Raiden, which will give him control back. And then we'll discover that 'Young Snake' from the trailer is actually Liquid, and he's been re-animated somehow, just like Gray Fox from MGS1.

Plus, I should also point out that an arm cannot be 'decapitated,' because to be 'decapitated' is to have your HEAD CUT OFF.

In my opinion the young Snake is Solid Snake, old Snake is Big Boss (secretly still alive, or brought back to life,) and you will play as Old Snake for a bit at the beginning, like in MGS2 before Raiden. Then you will play the bulk of the game as young Snake, now cured of Foxdie.

I think snakes own life might somehow be tied into the Patriots plot somehow, I mean why does he have to die, why must 'some stories have to end' he wouldn't top himself without good reason.

Trust me, it has nothing to do with jealousy. Im here because I own a PS3 and I like to check and see if theres anything worthwile going on to actually get me to turn my PS3 on this week. But alas, still nothing.

And the fact that the 360 didnt steal yet another exclusive is not something to be proud of by any means. Also, this game isnt gonna be out for at least another 6 months, and a lot can change in that ammount of time.

Motorstorm is a visually stunning game, yes, but in no way is it the best out of all systems. Gears Of War is the best game graphically so far for a console game, hence why it has won so many awards (including numerous Best Graphics awards, among other awards as well).

Motorstorm is definately the best PS3 game graphically, but its gameplay is lackluster. Ive only played it around 10 hours total since I got it, and I cant seem to play it for more than 2 hours at a time without losing interest. But to each his own.

The main character in the game is actually Big Boss. The whole genetic breakdown stuff is just a cover, and Big Boss has been alive the whole time. Young Snake is Snake. That's what I think, but I could be totally wrong.

It was a codec message between Snake and Raiden in MGS2. Snake mentioned that Vamp drank human blood. Raiden said something like "oh, so Vamp is short for vampire" and Snake said "No, it's because he's bisexual". Something along those lines, anyway.

Having played every MGS... I think this next one will be off the charts mind blowing in both the visuals and the story... as far as it goes with the latter... this is where the ***** hits the fan... from the cloned Snake to the operating of a Metal Gear ... i think it's all very possible... in fact this article might as well be a list of the 100 plot twists predicted judging from the game it's based on... Ocelot regaining control? *****, what about liquid returning? (and i mean full-on Liquid and not Liquid Ocelot) Or a clone of snake to hunt the real deal down... (Snake vs Snake boss fight anyone?) And since this is apparently the last MGS, how the hell is it possibly gonna come to an end without the appearance of the man himself-Big Boss...(They never did mention what happened to Big Boss's remains after MGS 1...)

Granted a lot can change in six months, but when the time DOES come, the next six will be spent with every development studio left wondering"what the hell have we been doing all this time!?" in it's wake.

Based on previous experiences with the series' coupled with story line potential and stunning new visuals, if done right, I don't think there will be anything to rival Kojima's masterpiece for a good year or so at worst (if at all).

No doubt a lot of people will grab PS3s just for this one. That includes me.

That's right, but i also remember him mentioning something about handing it over to someone else if that were to be the case and that he had other projects in mind.

I think that in order for it to avoid being played-out, Kojima should quit while he's still ahead, and have this one go out with a bang. But then again, since Snake's story is heavily tied into cloning & genes, it allows for some insane twists + the potential of the PS3's untapped power and connectivity leaves plenty of room for more...only without Kojima's involvement is what i think he was getting at.

Whatever happens, i trust and he'll make the right choice. I'm just waiting for this game's release to come around so I can finally grab a PS3.

I believe that I, along with more than 75% of PS2 owners, are still waiting for a good enough reason to make the jump to PS3... well I have mine...this title seems to be the most promising and convincing of them all... and will surely give 360 & Wii owners something to drool over while they frustratingly hammer their Xboxs bearing "The Ring of Death" with their Wiii-motes.

koj did say (yes i know him that well) that if more mgs was made it would be 'in the mgs universe' but not really continuing an unfinished story, and that he would simply be a consultant rather than director/head honcho.
