The next Tony Hawk game is called 'Shred'

Tony Hawk's moving from riding to shredding. Following an unplanned and premature confirmation from Tony Hawk himself, Activision has officially announced that the next Tony Hawk game is called Tony Hawk: Shred.

Hawk reportedly announced the game's name himself on Monday night via Twitter. "Tony Hawk: Shred. There, I said it. Actually, I named it. Somewhere a PR team is reeling," he posted before deleting the tweet.

All Activision would say apart from the title is that "more details will be revealed in the coming months." Hawk has reportedly been talking to Ride developer Robomodo about their next project, however, so we can probably safely assume that Shred is it.

The last good Tony Hawk game I played was Tony Hawk's: Underground 2. They need to continue THAT series, it was amazing! It was comical, bad-mouthed, had amazing music, and the story was fairly decent and interesting. The way they're trying to add in-depth physics and crap just ruins the feeling that's been around since Pro Skater...

The last good Tony Hawk game I played was THPS 2 everything since has just been crap.

I really like the skate franchise, until old Tony Hawk can keep up with that game series, he has been banished from my consoles!

Maybe someone should bring the Skate or Die franchise back. That has a better name that would draw people if it was made good.
