The long wait.

Kotaku knows how to please folks with some rather interesting tidbits about gaming life. Thanks to a picture from Jonathan Davis, we have both a tidbit and a picture about the "life" of gamers.

This is a street near a Best Buy store in Burbank, California. To the left of the unfortunate plastic penguin statue, we have a couple of very enthusiastic members of the PlayStation 3 community who just HAVE TO HAVE their PlayStation 3 as soon as inhumanly possible. Since Sony's fanboy-beloved console will be out next Friday, they'll be out there for nine days. Luckily, commenters at the Kotaku article have noted a nearby Starbucks and a bedding store to help them get through the tribulations of a long wait.

NeoGAF also had some additional pictures, as you'll see below. Funny how seeing the line from a different perspective makes the waiting seem a bit weirder. All in all, it just has to be said: Damn those penguins. Always at the first of the line!

I can't believe that the penguin actually beat those other guys to the line. Man that penguin must be crazy to go camp out for 9 days until the PS3 comes out. That penguin and his baby penguins must be happy to get the PS3. That penguin ROCKS!!!!!

the started to make the line way to early. Since they started the line everyone else is gonna go behind them. All you have to do is check the store everyday..........

That's crazy. they dont even know if they are gonna have some but most important there could be delays. When the 360 got out 3 guys were waiting more than 2 days and many followed the day prior to launch date and ya know what happened?.Well the truck came one day late with only 10 Xbox360. And ya know what's even worst,well the first 6 360 were defective. Guess what! the first guy who was waiting in line came back to me to have it replaced but at the time no more 360 were available. I heard that happened in other stores too.



This time i dont work at the store and can't get one right away but damn i'm not waiting in line even more than an hour!It will be on next batch!
