Hot on the heels of our story yesterday about one lucky Tokyo retailer getting their mitts on a PS3 test unit for display comes the even more exciting news that the guys and gals over at PlayStation Magazine (PSM) have received a fully functioning totally playable PS3 unit."...You can even see the reflection of Motorstorm in the shiny exterior. Good, eh? Finally Rich, Andy, Dave the workie and I got to grips with the lush PS3 for the first time. First impressions? The pads lighter than we anticipated and we were pleasantly surprised by the top-notch feel when controlling the vehicles with the pads motion rather than the sticks. We also got to grips with Resistance: Fall of Man too. The jury's still out on this one but it looks amazing; like proper next-gen. But it really drew in a crowd of curious gamers. Including some teary-eyed men from an Xbox magazine..."
Lucky devils, not to Sony, if you're handing them out we'll gladly take one off your hands for you. It's interesting to note that they seem to mention controlling Motorstorm with the PS3's tilt controller, that's a feature we'd never heard of before and that definitely wasn't present at E3. Now if you'll excuse us, I'm off to round up a few QJ staffers to perform a covert raid on the PSM offices.

Motor storm looks awesome and might be the launch titile that makes me get a ps3. Anyhow i see it as an investment and there will be other good games later.
BTW tilt sensor for games is the dumbest thing i have ever heard of. I will never use it nor buy excite truck. You familiar with the term "pinball racers"? It means your bounce from sides of track the whoe game. I pee pee on tilt sensor, and the wii mote is the so stupid it should be placed where the sun doesnt shine.

What's so funny about that? The PS3 will also upscale it's 720p games to 1080p if gamers choose to do so, and like the PS3, the 360 will soon natively support 1080p games (perhaps that's the part you failed to understand).
Actually, I'm not going to waste any more time on stupid little fanboys (including those pretending to be 360 owners)... so going back to the topic, it's great to see the PS3 getting into the hands of editors. I look forward to more and more hands on reports as we get closer to launch. :)

360 - DVD9 (optional $200 HD-DVD player addon JUST for movies) ...what at ripoff
PS3 - internal power supply
360 - external power supply
etc.
looks like $100 more is WAY worth it for the 20GB PS3

Until TGS, the 20GB PS3 was also going to provide 1080p without the HDMI port (as announced at E3). I've seen your posts here before, so did you have a problem with 1080p on the 20GB PS3 prior to TGS? Did you post similar comments about the 20GB PS3 console like you did here about the 360? Probably not I expect.
So stop being a fanboy and try acting like a gamer for a change.

Where was power being discussed in this thread? We know the PS3 is slightly more powerful than the 360, but that has nothing to do with what has been discussed so far.

Yes but there's a difference between fans and fanboys. most PS2 owners acknowledged the XBox was more powerful, most PS2 fanboys did not (I know, I've argued with them online ever since the launch of the PS2 and then the XBox).

price comparison:
PS3 = more than worth it
360 = ripoff (even if you DON'T need ANY addon ...ther WILL be something that you will neeed later ...you'll see ...or you saw already ...too bad for you then)
