The Godfather II: All in the family - Image 1Here are some choice, brave words, coming from Electronic Arts' The Godfather II (PS3, 360) executive producer Hunter Smith: " I think our combat experience is the best in the genre." Yeah, I know, my eyebrows raised a notch there, too.

And he really does seem to have humongous faith for their title, as he continues to give it praise.

It's a very intuitive experience. To go hand-to-hand we moved from having to lock on to everybody just to interact with them and then stick mashing to right and left controls so you really feel that you're tied into your avatar in terms of your right and left hands. We also added combos because we have the right and left experience.

As for their shooting experience, he describes it as "completely free aim all the time. You can then lock on and move within the lock on window for headshots or knee shots or to shoot a weapon out of a guy's hand."

Probably the best part about the game, and this is what the franchise is actually known for, would be the retention of the element of intimidation and extortion. It takes a lot of talent in that area to take over the family business, after all.

The Godfather 2 is coming to both the PS3 and and 360 on February 27, 2009.

Nobody wants this.

Nobody wants to play a game from some movie from the 80s. Half of their customers were babies when this movie came out. What are they going to make next, Footloose the game?
