Just one look at this new cinematic trailer for the upcoming PS3 title The Eye of Judgement and you'll immediately discover that this game is head and shoulders above the typical card-based games released on any video game console year after year.

The Eye of Judgment combines beautiful graphics and a unique card-based battle system that uses the PlayStation Eye accessory. Through the PlayStation Eye, the game recognizes the cards that players put down on a table. Each card is associated with a different monster, which in turn is given a 3D representation on-screen.

Moving the cards move the on-screen monsters as well, and when players move their cards towards another card, all hell breaks loose and the monsters duke it out on-screen. For a better idea of how The Eye of Judgment plays, check out the vid below.

WIN!

They win just for Stone Sour. :D Seriously, this game isn't looking good, It's looking great. Probably will end up being a sleeper hit especially if they do some good things with online battles. This just became one of my must haves for the PS3.

I have wanted this game

for over a year now since it was first announced. The creators of Magic the Gathering "Wizards of the Coast" are even helping in the production of this game, mostly just card production but I know they're probably giving input as well. And with magic recently slipping to second place in the card game industry after leading since 1993 I believe they will very much create a series of cards that will be playable using the eye much like this. That's my dream anyway, absolutely love the idea and card games.

Yu-Gi-oH woudn't surprise me

Magic the gathering is definitely coming out on PS3

guess how is helping Sony make this game? Wizards of the Coast, now what are they famous for again?

What's that I hear....

Wizards of the Coast? -!- That Sound...Do I hear the cries....of the long lost Magi-nation? Do I hear...Comeback?

Hmm

I been wondering how long it was going to be before a game like this made it out. Definitely looks different enough to be a hit in its own right.

:)

God, this game looks great, and the fact that it uses the new EyeToy to generate real time 3D from the cards is superb !!! I will get that one :)

...

This game has been confirmed to have online play. You have to register your deck to use it and if you change your deck, you have to re-register it. This ensures that people can't use cards that aren't registered in their deck and cheat. I can't wait for this game. This is real innovation that I expected from Nintendo with the pokemon series. I use to be a pokemon card game fan until I grew out of it, but it would be cool to use my old deck and play against other people online in 3D battles and see how my old deck holds up against the newer decks. If they could ever get Yu Gi Oh to work on the PS3 like this, I would bust out my tournament decks without hesitation.
