We've already shown you a trailer of StarBreeze's The Darkness before, but that was a shaky-cam vid from Comic Con 2006. Here's a clearer, higher-res, and slightly longer version of the trailer. It basically shows us a bit more of what happened right after that creepy creature snatched the thug in the suit.
For those of you not familiar with the world of The Darkness, a little research reveals that the game is based on TopCow's cult comic hit entitled - guess what? - "The Darkness." The comic was written by famed comicbook author, Paul Jenkins, and co-created by famed comicbook artist, Marc Silvestri. What's nice about this is that the story of the video game was also written in collaboration with Paul Jenkins.
The game follows mafia hitman Jackie Estacado who's celebrating his 21st birthday. Apparently come that age, the awesome and terrible powers of the Darkness awaken within him. This allows Jackie to wreak havoc on his enemies... We'd like to tell you exactly how he does that, but that would spoil the whole point of the video. Just download the vid and see for yourself.

What can I say? That trailer left me speechless. The part where he shoots out the light... damn. This upps my excitement because I ordered a Plasma TV yesterday.
