TGS 2008: Final Fantasy XIII demo limited only to first batch of FF7ACC |

Recent reports online indicate that you just might have to be quick on the take if you want a copy of the Final Fantasy XIII demo. Back in their DKS party, Square Enix announced that the demo will be included as a bonus disc in the Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Complete release. Apparently, that's just half of the story.Over at TGS, Square Enix's booklet (scan on right) revealed that the FF13 demo will only be included in the "first printing" of FF7ACC. This means that once the first batch of FF7ACC runs out, there won't be any more demos of FF13 available in retail.
Yep, it's a bit hard to stomach, I know. But it's quite logical, if you follow their previous demo releases. If memory serves, Tobal No. 1 (which included an FFVI demo) and Brave Fencer Musashi (which had FFVIII) did not perpetually include the demos.
Be that as it may, the first batch of FF7ACC isn't a "limited edition" and will not carry an additional price tag for its inclusion of the FF13 demo.
Let's just hope that the amount of FF7ACC copies they manufacture in its first run are enough to appease the masses. Despite it all, you can always pre-order a copy of the Blu-ray movie; summon all your aeons with hope that you're guaranteed a copy from the first batch!

Funny ... I thought the point to releasing a "demo" was supposedly to promote the product to those who might be unfamiliar with it...
I don't really like that "demos" are merely being used as incentives to purchase (at most times) things I don't want.

If you haven't heard or played these series, may I ask," WHERE THE F$$K HAVE YOU BEEN THESE PAST 10 YEARS"
People are literally begging for great titles such as these and will happily for over GASOLINE money for a months forth if needed
Correct me if i'm wrong but aren't you sir one of these hardcore fans I'm referring to.
Prove me wrong, except your frustation and anger already gave away your positions on the topic.

I mean when FFxi is still going strong and they are reaping $12.95 per account (approx. 500k still) plus the $1 per "mule" .... among all their other endeavors (DS remakes et all).....
I seriously doubt Squeenix is hurting for funds in this tight economy.
They are, by no means, the only company doing this. I just don't like the practice.

Possibly to young to know any different. Don't assume all FF13 players are 13+ years of age.
