Ó
Spring of 2008, to be exact. In the same keynote that Kazuo Hirai confirmed, demoed, and loved the DualShock 3 controller for PlayStation 3s, the CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment also stated that PlayStation Home, announced earlier this year, would be delayed until early next year.
Although mapped and on target for a release later this year, PlayStation Home would enter another term development for improvements to its services. Follow up inquiries as to what caused the delay revealed that PlayStation Home was geared to launched worldwide and that it had to attract and appeal to customers from every point in the globe.
To figure out what services would be plausible for Home, feedback from Beta testers in different regions would be consolidated to create a clear picture. Hirai says that responding to the feedback would accomplish their goal. There's also a promise that Sony will continue to reveal additions and developments in the near future.
