Following up on the news that the PS3 version of Resident Evil 5: Director's Cut will be incorporating Sony's new motion controller into its control scheme, here's a vid of the new controls being demoed at the Tokyo Game Show.

Resident Evil 5: Director's Cut is currently slated for a Spring release. Hopefully Sony and Capcom will release an online update to add the feature to regular copies of the game so we don't have to spring for a whole new disc.

Thanks to ernor_86 for the tip!

Hell it was hard enough for me using the standard mouse + keyboard on this game. I only played the game for like an hour then couldn't stand that btch getting in my way all the time.

but sony should think of making a nunchuk like thing for the ps3 so we wont have to hold the ps3 remote with one hand.but its not that bad if your reading this pick up your ps3 remote with one hand like the guy in the vid.....not that bad is it????

They should do this with dead space where you can actually run while you shoot.

I dunno why he used the dualshock...It's supposed to be only one MtnCtrl, or two, one in each hand.

Like when you use a bow, one for each hand pulling the bow...

Maybe its just for this game, or the older games, or their just testing...

just like the port of resident evil 4 to the wii. I prefer the ps2 version because its faster to aim and the motion thing throws of the shooting plus resident evi is fast paced no time to carefuly aim. I dont see a future for the motion controll unless i can lightsaber fight without motion lag.

so it moves as fast as you move. This guy is just demonstrating the game and I doubt he's even a gamer.

I think they are trying to show that you can use different control setups for certain games and that developers are not limited to just using the PMCr to control a game. I think that is awesome that you can use the Dualshock in conjunction with the PMC because it opens the door for almost any shooter, 1st or 3rd person, to be played with just one PMC aiming and then use the analog stick on the controller to move. I agree with the guy above us. It actually feels

pretty natural to hold the Dualshock with your left hand and control the analog stick. I can't wait to see what games utilize this combination and all the other possibilities like two PMCrs together and maybe a second player on the Dualshock. Imagine a Road Rash game where one person drives with the Dualshock and a second player uses a PMC in each hand to throw punches or even reach down and pick stuff up off the road and then throw it at another driver. Hmmm that sounds like fun!! I just made that up! Sorry for rambling people.

# Intresting but strangeJanglez311 2009-09-25 14:24
I think it is very interesting but the whole holding the dualshock in one hand and pointing with the other seems very strange and uncomfortable hopefully this will change they should consider making a nunchuk controller like the wii for movement.

goodbye wii... this is wii with good graphics right here, and it looks awesome. Also to the retards who are complaining about the dualshock, THIS IS A DEMO...IN JAPANESE... obviously the end product wont be like that, they are showing that the motion controller is accurate and can work on top notch games unlike wii or 360.

I only played online co-op, which was really fun. I never played it single player.
