Today we have more info on Level-5's PS3 exclusive RPG, White Knight Story, straight from TGS.
White Knight Story will feature an epic, complex storyline that puts an emphasis on the history of the main character, Leonard, as well as other characters and their ancestors. No absolute figures on how long the game is, but it will reportedly be lengthy.
Leveling up gives you skill points which you can then use to unlock special techniques. There's a limit on how many special techniques you can have at one time though.
The main focus is still on the single player mode, but there will also be a cooperative online quest mode for up to four players. You can chat with other people while playing online and send invites to your friends for a run through the multiplayer mode. There's also a lobby for up to 16 players and an auto matching system.
In multiplayer mode, you'll be given more customization choices (facial features, body type, etc.), and the character you make in this mode will travel with your party in the single player campaign. Quests from the online mode can also be played in single player mode.
That's about it for now. Keep checking back here for more updates on this game as well as other PS3 titles. White Knight Story is slated for a December 25 release in Japan.

Dah! It's Level 5, lol. It took me 73 hours to finish dragon quest 8 and I was level 34, lol. (Okay, I know, I should level my characters more, lol, the final boss was HARD). And DQ8 is my favorite game of all time with FFX and Parasite Eve, I can't wait for White Knight Story!
The multiplayer is not looking really usefull, I'm not the kind to play MMORPG, but since it's a bonus, I can't complain, lol. Maybe I'll try to play online to see.
