Ten-minute preview for Genji: Days of the Blade |
Ó
And here we go with the prettiness which is Genji: Days of the Blade. Developed by Game Republic for the PlayStation 3, this title was just released in North America this month, but is yet to see its Japanese debut which won't be until December 31.
Loosely based on The Tale of the Heike, Days of the Blade takes place three years after its predecessor, and once again, Yoshitsune and Benkei find themselves up against the newly-restored Heishi army. The party of heroes gets a boost though, as this time around, they are joined by Shizuka and Buson in fending off the opposition's unholy magic and soldiers who turn into demons.
So for those who are wondering if this title would be worth picking up from the store, here's a video which shows the first ten minutes of the game. Hopefully, this would give players an idea if Genji is their cup of tea.

idk how the gameplay feels but it seemed pretty solid to me and plus the graphics were also pretty damn good
it got a low rating because of the camera angles i believe
because it's not fun other than as a hack and slash...
Most action games are hack and slash for the most part first all. Secondly this game is underrated I'd say after playing it. If action is your genre this will be right up your alley, and if you liked the first one you'll love the second one.
"... this title was just released in North America this month, but is yet to see its Japanese debut which won't be until December 31. " What's with this line? The Genji I see is located in every PS3 game section in Japan since launch. Is this a different Genji or is the news mistaken?
If you love Onimusha styled games, Genji you will love. These type of games never get any good rating so don't worry bout what those damn reviewers say. Famistu a Japanese company gave it a pretty decent score, so if you into this genre this game is for you. I loved the first, so i'll be getting this one. By the way, how come the Japanese version is not out yet? you'd think they fix some issues with the game?
Genji was released in Japan on the 11th of November, in fact the PS3 and the copy of Genji you see being played on xboxyde was bought by me I then shipped it to BlimBlim at Xboxyde.
this is a Launch title. Released on November 11, 2006 here in japan. I have it and regret it. I didnt read any reviews before buying so i end up with a 4/10 rated game geesh. yeah camera is very dissappointing. not worth to buy. nice to rent though.
Devil May Cry 4 looks funner, anyways.
