Tekken dated for UK, Arcade Stick and Collector's Edition packs priced |
Ó

Heads up, Tekken fans. Namco Bandai has revealed the UK release date for the home console versions of Tekken 6 (PS3, Xbox 360, PSP). Gamers can get their fight on beginning Friday, October 30, three days after the game hits store shelves in North America.
They've also announced how much money you need to shell out if you want to score the Arcade Stick and Collector's Edition packs.
First, the Arcade Stick set. This one retails for UK£ 149.99 (US$ 247) and comes with a 100-page art book,a copy of the game and a custom wireless Hori fight stick. That's an extra UK£ 100 (US$ 165) slapped on top of the normal game price, but hey, it does include a fight stick.
The Collector's Edition pack, on the other hand, is much cheaper. For UK£ 69.99 (US$ 115), you can opt for this and get the art book, an exclusive poster, and a sweatshirt designed by the Tekken 6 development team along with a copy of the game.

£150 seems an awful lot. I personally prefer using a controller so won't be getting it anyway. Although the Collector's Edition sounds pretty good! I wonder what the poster and sweatshirt looks like...
I'm sure they will be great quality but with so many good games coming out around that time, I'm going to have use that money to buy a few more games instead. Luckily the Dual Shock 3's D-pad is pretty good to use for Tekken. I look forward to playing Tekken 6.
Hmmm... that's abt $300 AUD for us Aussies... Nevertheless, I'll be sure getting the CE x360 bundle simply due to the fact that I'm a HUGE Tekken fan since Tekken 1 on PSX. Not to mention that since Namco had officially announced that the bundled Hori brand arcade stick is wireless. That's a HUGE pro imho. If it wasn't w/less, I'd no doubt be skipping the CE and just buy the game alone. The fact that Hori had designed it w/lessly shows that the design team had collaborated with MS since their the ONLY ones that can/licensed to produce w/less x360 controllers/device. It also explains the heafty RRP price tag with the CE bundle. Madcatz sf4's sanwa sticks for x360 is a perfect example of that flaw. Which is exactly why I got the PS3 version over the x360. The ONLY way I'll be changing my mind is IF Namco changes/delays the release date. Doubtful but we never know any more these days. Especially if they delay it further than 09. Considering the arcade game have been released for a while now, I see no reason why it should happen though so Namco better not scew up this time. I'm sure I'm not the only person dying to play some serious tekken 6 br in the comfort of my own home. Tekken GOTY FTW! Namco rockz! Long live Tekken!
