Jin KazamaLike a neatly placed uppercut from Jin Kazama, guess what punched into the PlayStation Store in Japan? Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection just made a surprise entry today, just a few days after Christmas. Weighing in at 830MB and with a price of ¥ 2000 (around a little more than US$ 15), the Japanese once again get first dibs on the cool stuff.

As it was announced earlier, this "port" would have the game, originally for the PSP, running on the PS3 in full 1080p visuals and flare up the fighting scene with the debut of Jinpachi as a playable character. The various modes in the arcade game are given a makeover with Arcade Battle and Ghost Battle, while the Gallery mode will allow you to purchase classic Tekken movies using some in-game Tekken Money.

As for North America, it'll only be a matter of time before this becomes available online. We'll keep you guys posted!

# I Hate It....Guest 2006-12-27 07:47
When i see my Beloved Qj makes Mistakes.. :)

The Game is Based on The Orginal Arcade Machine.....Not the PSP Version..

Ofcourse that means a lot......the Arcade version is graphically superior than the Ported-Down PSP version.[although its still spectacular]

Its seems that The PS3 is turning Out to Be an Even Better Investment Than The Great PS2......with the Excellent GTHD Demo.....and Now Tekken 5

P.S: [Off-Topic]....The World is Busy with Impressions of the Magnificent GTHD demo......And [Gamespot.com] havent even Posted a [Hint] on this demo....or even if there was a demo.....talk about BiASS

:)

umm...if you post daily on gamespot you'd know they're bias. They hate the ps3 and only post stuff on the 360. They're reports on the ps3 are also very bias including their game scores may it be 0.1 differnce of a score between a 360/ps3 game or just placing the word "best" beside the 360 version they always have a way to be bias.

Look at fight night round 3 for the ps3, Its got 8.2 while the 360 has 8.3 and everything else has 8.2 expect the orginal xbox got something lower than 8.2

15 bucks is a steal. I'm a big Tekken fan too, so by the time I get my PS3, I can grab this. GJ to Namco and Sony.

this very nice game brought me a nasty icky idea! since its on the HD, can you backup your HD and share a copy of your Full HD with your friends? or is it bounded on the unit itself?

# Uhm...Guest 2006-12-28 06:21
Uhm, you can 'share' (redownload) the game on up to 5 consoles. It is obviously faster to just copy it (but a backup will nuke all their settings when you restore it), but Sony's official way is to have them download a copy using your account.

I bought it via my Taiwan account, its the only one that'll take my UK card details.

All characters are unlocked to start with and most of the menu's are in english with japanese bits here and there. Cool game, looks way better than I was expecting.

# The Playstation Store rocks!RommelTJ 2006-12-28 14:40
I have gotten to love the PS store. Even when I have to wait forever for something to download, without music, and without video, I still love it. There is no other service like it.

The only thing is, with games appearing in my living room,, and a big-ass turkey on my kitchen, I think I'm going to get fat.
