People were upset at sony about the 600 dollar price tag.. that's where all the negative press came from. That one E3 event where they revealed the price... after that, it was the PS3 is doomed, the PS3 is overheating, then, the ps3 doesn't have any good games, the PS3 is losing exclusives, and then not to mention a system less than half its price is outselling it... but what's funny, is that the Wii is outselling the ps3, but we never hear any stores about how the Wii is out selling the 360. People talk trash about the ps3 because, they just want to justify the purchsase they probably made 'instead' of ps3. I feel better about the 600 dollar purchase, now than I ever did before... at least I know the console doesn't have a 30% failure rate, got free online, good set of games... and remember, these games, Lair, Heavenly Sword... these are still first generation launch title games...

Sony iasn't forcing you to have any of their formats, it's you're choice if you want to buy the system or not. Second microsoft force formats, nobody says anything about that, and have read about many lawsuits from monoploisation. They are monsters, "If we casn't beat them buy them" and because there so big, if they don't want certain things on their software that company goes bankurpt, microsoft have to much power they always get it there way.

I'm quite sure that there was a replacement programme, for those batteries and it can't be worse that RROD.

Yes there are 20 exclusives coming to the ps3 and all xbox 360 games but microsoft's first party games.

The ps3 is well worth it's price tag and the xbox 360 is worth it's, of cousre the ps3 is going to be more expensive, It has alot more features built in,

every game console "forces" a format on you....

psp forces UMDs, DS forces those cartridges, the 360 and wii force dvd's and the ps3 forces blu-ray.

Its not forcing, its using the technology of choice. Sony decides to use blu-ray as microsoft decides to use dvd.

I would rather have a ps3 for $600 than buy a phone for $600(I-phone)

keep in mind you actually save about $200 with a ps3 purchase as opposed to having to spend an extra $500 on a 360 to match the capabilities and options of a ps3.the 360 is actually worth about $360(labor and parts)ps3+$850(labor and parts)Sony is now a charity organization and folding is just another example of that.the 360 has gone to the dark side with the elite being black.

This is mostly Sony's fault, but it should change soon as more games are released (especially the 'big' games we're waiting for).

I've played all next-gen consoles and believe that they all have their own unique strengths, as well as weaknesses, but I prefer the PS3 over the other two. Besides, I have faith in Sony, they know what they're doing, but that doesn't mean the public has to know everything being planned behind the scenes.

I dont are what type of Touchsense fetures you have. The Touchsense for us will be built directly with our Six-axis controllers. Imagine 2 powerhouse potential features on a controller that will make ppl shocked how good it is.

Sony provided specs which made it seem as it the PS3 was twice as powerful as the 360, when the reality is that it is only slightly more powerful overall (not enough to make much difference).



Then on top of that, they produce pre-rendered footage which was presented as realtime gameplay (Killzone being the most famous), which Sony refused to own up to being pre-rendered despite being asked, because they were there for the naive to believe it was all realtime.



During this time, it was the 360 which was the media's "whipping boy", with everyone talking about how Sony stole the show with PS3 games which blew the 360 away (yes, they were still thinking of Killzone), countless articles about how the PS3 was TWICE as powerful as the 360 (because of specs which do not reflect reality), and more hype about Cell.



Sony could do no wrong, until E3 2006 when not only had the PS3 been delayed from the announced spring launch, but they had a boring press conference which failed to impress when REAL gameplay was shown, they demoed tilt control which was seen as a responce to Nintendo and then ended it with a price which although expected, was still a shock to some. And let's not mention Ken, who to be honest, was becoming a joke for Sony (thankfully he's retired now).



In otherwords, the PS3 shown at E3 2006 fell WELL BELOW the media's expectations after the promises of E3 2005.

X-Play recently had an episode in which every single game had a 5/5. The games? Resistance (PS3), Oblivion (PS3, 360), Okami (PS2), and FF XII (PS2). So thats Sony, Sony/MS, Sony, and Sony... and people are saying the PS3 has bad games???

M$ has always had bad E3's, see every year. Every commercial or "trailer" for xbox games rarely show any gameplay. Xbox said the 360 would ude hd-dvd, does it, not really. They have admitted on their own site they are trying to fix "hardware issues" - that means "Ooops our product is trash. BUt I see why everyone bashes Sony,lol
