Team Xecuter: Xbox 360 homebrew so near, yet so far; PS3 Paradox loader "shhh" until Euro launch

team Xecuter: making its presence felt on more than one console. - Image 1The Soft-Mods blog had a chance to interview Team Xecuter via email, to ask them a couple of biggies: their ongoing PS3 and Xbox 360 projects. On the hardware front, there's the Blaster 360 and PS3 Hyperdrive; on the other side of the fence, Xbox 360 homebrew (presumably non-XNA) and the PS3 Paradox loader.

So besides the Blaster and the Hyperdrive, the team reveals that they've got some "cool things in the pipeline," which they can't disclose until they're sure of a release date. Whether this refers to Xbox 360 homebrew or Paradox is not known, but they're both referred to later in the interview. For Xbox 360 homebrew, Team Xecuter replied that their dedicated team is "so very close, yet so very far away at the same time." Of note is that the team's by far one of the biggies in the 360 exploit department, for those keeping score.

When asked about Paradox, all the team could say is "wait till the European release of the PS3." A little under a month to go, then.

» team ex sucks

why don't they unlock ps3 for homebrew? Like give us access to the graphics card in linux. All they want to do is pirate everything so ps3 fails. What a bunch of phags.

» They are BS ing

They claimed to have cracked the 360 months ago! The PS3 will get constant firm wares in the future!

» Well...

As far as I'm concerned, ISO loading would be a pretty good proof of concept for other kernel mode applications. I agree that unrestricted access to the hardware from Linux would be nice, but you expect this one group to do everything in one fell swoop?

@ all the above....So we'll just tell them not to bother eh? The PSP get's crap loads of updates, none of which have stoppped hombrew or playing back-up's.

Plus the fact that the PS3 is still very new.

Plus the fact that most dont give a monkeys toss about " accessing the graphics card "

Plus the fact that it's not always about piracy. A real cracker loves the fact that they have done just that, when it's all being boasted about how very hard it is to crack.

Plus the fact your all morons who can dissapear up my arse.

Roll on the loader!

» Paradox?

Does Paradox have a website or anything, or do they just speak through Team Xecutor? If they do, I certainly can't find it.

I wish they would at least tell us what firmware it works on.

What? Every PSP update (Well 90%) of them were just security patches to stop homebrew. Now we have Darkalexs custom firmwares, so we can have all the options, and homebrew etc. The the fact remains that before dark alex, we were all stuck at 1.50 if we wanted true kernal access. I say an ISO loading maybe the only thing that increases demand for the PS3.
