After the lawsuits and labor controversies back in June, Hitoshi Hasegawa and Yosuke Hayashi of Team Ninja want to see better days. They sat down with Gamasutra to talk about their current and future plans. They both agree: "the PS3 is the most powerful system out there."
"For any developer that's been working on all of the platforms that are available today, I think they would agree that the PlayStation 3 is the most powerful system out there," Hayashi notes, also citing that they've been very satisfied with the cooperation that Sony has been giving developers. Hayashi also says, from a developer and consumer standpoint, that we haven't seen the fullest of its potential.
When it comes to console gaming, most developers make games for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 because of the cost of developing games, which compromises a lot of things. Hayashi points out that if they were to work exclusively on one console, then the final product would be much better than a multiplatformer.
Although they want to create the best possible game, and to do that they'll need to focus on one console, Hayashi maintains that their primary focus is their fan base - so they will continue interchanging work with the consoles as necessary. While the PS3 "is the most powerful system out there," Hayashi still maintains that the Xbox 360 is still a great console.
The Xbox 360, in our point of view, has all-around integrated aspects and elements that have... basically, coming out with the Xbox and 360, Microsoft has had a lot of experimenting and research that they were able to do in order to make a brand new gaming console and hardware piece.
But moving forward, we are interested in seeing how they are going to take that to the next level as a gaming console. We would like to be able to be a part of that experiment.

Isn't this already universally known? The ps3 has always been the most powerful, now whether its the best console is debatable by monkeys and dip*****s. Being best is an opinion, being most graphically powerful is a fact. I'm sure there's still some idiots that think the virtual boy was the best console ever made.

To me i like all consoles and handheld aswell....I mean why cant they just make 1 freaking console together and competing in making good games or an hardware like..sample : Nintendo make Wiimote for the console why Sony make their controller aswell and Microsoft aswell... on 1 console that would be nice...cuz it kinda bull***** spending money on 3 console like me..... right..
How easy is that working together ......
And u'll get exclusive games on 1 console all the time....Zelda, Gears of war, Motorstorm and stuff c'mon!!!
That would be awesome!!

The console however, that would suck. If there's no competition, they don't need to do anything to the console. They could never update the console to improve the hardware, or add things like motion sensetive controls, and it wouldn't matter to them, because noone would be releasing a better console with more impressive games that people could get instead.

We all need to stop this kindergarten mentality that says since you're not on our team you suck and and go ***** yourself. We need to start uniting, because who knows, we may only have one universal console in the future.
My name is Barack Obama and I approve this message.
GO DREAMCAST!!

People always have the choice to NOT buy a console and if people aren't buy these consoles they will eventually come down in price anyway.

As we gamers use to say, "good graphics" (which the X360 almost always trounces the PS3) doesn't necessarily mean "good game".
BTW, which is worse:
Having a crappy system before you knew it would be crappy or having the good and crappy system after knowing the crappy system was crappy?
I guess the latter is funny to some?

This isn't last year or even six months ago. TBH, i'm sure there are still a number of people that want the ps3's price to drop.
I can understand that.
The thing is though the price has already dropped this year, it's much cheaper then it used to be , it seems that not enough people are willing to give the ps3 the benifit of the achievements it has accomplished this year.
we have the bluerays victory over beta max, err i mean hd-dvd.
we now have several hard hitting exclusive titles, mgs4, LBP, drakes fortune,
and many other high profile multiplatform uber titles like, gta4, cod4, oblivion, bioshock.
some titles we have even clame the defining experience,
eternal sonata, is definitive on ps3.
we have the definitive ninja gaiden title,
ironically xbox/360 doesnt, the orginal ng was better then ng2, so logicality ng sigma is definitive.
so our library is much much stronger then it was sevral months ago.
the trophy system, while a blatant ripoff of 360 achievements, is implimented, and implimented well, into an overall deeper and more rewarding award system,
yes, the ps3 is expensive, but it has to be said, it's a great console , worth every penny,
and those who own one know that.

360 and PS3 rocks, especially for anyone who grew up playing a C64 or a NES. The difference isn't debatable, it's a matter of which games you want. If all the games you want are cross platform, then go for the cheapest console. Simple.
Wii has a few masterpieces that make it worth getting. Zelda, Mario, Super Smash Bros Brawl, No More Heroes etc, and has the best homebrew.
360 has great media playing capabilities and good online servers, as well as GoW etc.
PS3 has MGS4, which alone, is a kickass argument. Along with Blu-Ray, free online etc.
All good.

our online services are basically free,
We do have a pretty nice and updated web browser that uses flash nine, it's every bit as stable a web browser as internet explorer 7 was.
as of yet, the ps3 hasn't been fully benchmarked.
by that I mean, we havent pushed it to it's limates yet.
the ps3 has a lot of room to grow both in the market and in it's own capabilities.
with every release we come closer to that boarder that the 360 can not cross.
the ps3 is the superior console.
and this console generation isnt quite over with yet.
Thats all im saying, give ps a chance.

Well no freaking duh, however being the most powerful doesn't mean anything; Remember Xbox 1 and PS2? The first xbox was superior to the PS2 but that failed to beat it. Im not saying PS3 will never catch up, cause thats wrong, but im saying is that statement is true and the PS3 has yet to show its full potential.
And there will never be a univeral console, the day that happens, if at all, is the day Gaming will die. Sorry, if anything has been shown in recent years is how Competition drives good games and sales. No matter what any Die hard Sonybots or Xbots want to say and bash the other system, know this, Without Microsoft or Sony, the other would be making more shovelware and lack of quality titles then the Wii.
