FPS fans should watch out for some new add-ons to Valve Corporation's Team Fortress 2 (PC, Xbox 360, PS3) shooter in the coming months as Robin Walker announced that they will be releasing new maps to the game.

The two maps were originally available in The Orange Box compilation released by the company. One of which will be a remake of Team Fortress Classic's Badlands map, with a more vertically-oriented gameplay. While the maps were confirmed to be for the PC version, it was unsure whether the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of TF2 will be getting the maps as well.

Walker mentioned that these two maps "should be out within the next two months". He also mentions that they will be releasing some new content to the game before the maps, including the Medic achievement pack which tweaks the existing class significantly.

He was quoted on the matter by saying:

It's a large scale modification to the core of the game. It'll debut in a limited fashion through the Medic first, but it'll be affecting all classes eventually. We're really looking forward to the community reaction. We're really excited about where TF2 will be going over the next year.

I guess this means that we'll just have to wait and see what other goodies Valve will throw in the following month for this great FPS game.
