Take-Two: Agent will be very different from GTA |

While a lot about Rockstar's new PS3 title, Agent, are still hush-hush, Take-Two boss Ben Feder let out some details regarding the game in a recent interview with Eurogamer.
According to Feder, Agent will be very different from any of the GTA games that Rockstar is mostly known for, not only in terms of the story.
"It's a completely different storyline, there is completely different character development. It's a game about espionage, set in the 1970s," he said.
"GTA is obviously more about an urban experience, a typically rags to riches experience. Very, very different storylines, very different character development. It's going to be very fresh for gamers."

honestly i understand why they are being so defensive about it, it's a new ip and they wanna make sure people just don't think that it's gonna be a gta clone but truth be told ..... i kinda wanted a gta clone
about this game ... i hope it's gonna be good
But I hope people aren't looking at this game as a GTA clone set in the 70's. I really do. Cuz I bet a lot of people are and they are going to be let down - which would in turn just hurt the game as people scream that it's bad when they're faced with the fact that it's not GTA at all.
There's alot of people saying "Man, I wish we have new ideas or games right now since most are just sequels to preexisting titles or clones of another". Games like Heavy Rain is a new IP which hasn't been done yet. LittleBigPlanet was also a new IP which hasn't really been done at all. Something fresh from R* and it being PS3 exclusive is something I'm glad to have. Not to say I don't like GTA type of gameplay, I seriously do, but I think PS3 needs some more unique new exclusives to push the PS3 in the future. And I'm happy they've done this. Saints Row from Volitions is already a GTA Clone in some aspects, so no point for wishing for another one.
