Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix video game news - Image 1

If you're a loyalist kind of gamer, and you've been around long enough to have played the classic Street Fighter games, you're probably curious to see how Capcom is rebalancing its characters for the release of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix on the PSN and XBL.

We've seen some of the changes they made to the characters from what Capcom revealed before, but let's not forget that the game's development is still in progress so there are even more changes now, and even changes to the changes.

Here are the latest changes you might want to know about the characters' rebalancing, according to Capcom's developers blog:

Ken

  • Roundhouse version of Hurricane Kick dizzy power is now cut in half.
  • Knee bash throw now has just slightly less range. It makes no difference when Ken goes for his something like jump jab into knee bash, but it does give him some reason to attempt other throws when the opponent is at the edge of his throw range.

Balrog

  • BalrogÂ’s super now only does about 50% of your life, instead of even more, as it used to.
Blanka
  • Jab and strong horizontal rolls travel slightly shorter.
  • Also, they now have the same sound effects and rotation (meaning the visual effect) that the fierce roll has. This makes whiffed roll into bite a little better of a tactic.
Characters not mentioned haven't experienced any changes since the last update. The update also mentions that T. Hawk has experienced a lot of changes - Sirlin of Capcom, who posted the update, believes they might have to post a separate article for T. Hawk. We'll update you guys once they release more info on him.
