Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li - movie storyboard sample |
Ó
Capcom is celebrating its 20th year anniversary with class. After announcing Street Fighter IV, we are being teased with another Street Fighter movie in production. And no, Jean-Claude Van Damme won't be making an appearance here whatsoever.Portraying Chun-Li, Kristin Kreuk of Smallville fame is the biggest name announced for the cast of the movie, dubbed as Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Currently, the film is in production in Bangkok.
Kreuk has some huge shoes - or thighs - to fill in as Chun-Li, one of video gaming's most iconic characters. Here's to hoping the movie turns out into a gem (knowing how video game adaptations often flop... Doom, anyone?).
In the meantime, to your right is a sample of the movie's storyboard, illustrated by Ted Boonthanakit. Click the image for some high-resolution Chun-Li action.

Yuuummmy!
i enjoyed doom, it didn't take itself too seriously like alot of game movies(see street fighter and super mario brothers for examples).
mortal kombat still stands as the best VG movie imo, and that was ages ago.
the whole survival genre doesn't count since they are games trying to be movies anyway.
