Street Fighter IV alternative costume packs details |
Ó
Good clothes are expensive. Fortunately for the gang of Street Fighter, all of them get new costumes for just 13 bucks. The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed the pricing details for the alternative costumes you can get for Street Fighter IV (PS3, 360).
The info was released for the Japanese version, but other regions probably will probably have the same set-up. There will be one costume pack per week, with the first one to be released on the game's launch date on February 12. Each pack will have alternative costumes for five characters, with five packs in all. After the last pack is released, there will be a combo pack that will have all 25 costumes.
Each pack will cost 400 yen (US$ 4.48) on the PlayStation 3, and 320 MS Points on the Xbox 360. The combo pack will cost 1,200 yen (US$ 13.44) on the PS3, and 1,000 MS Points for the 360.

What's a Streert o.o
This is bullsh*t. i can barley afford the game, now they want me to pay for crap that would have been a FREE unlockable in any other generation. Its too freaking much, they mug you at the register, then they rape you when you get home.
Ya its bullsh*t they charge for DLC. But do like me and don't buy it. Its like all that crap they have for sale in LittleBigPlanet . Just get the free stuff if you cant afford it.
Oh my, gremlins must have put the extra r there.
Hehe corrected thanks ;)
Lbp is one of the few games to do dlc right, first of all they offer tons of free dlc, the dlc is cheap, they're making dlc that actually changes the game significantly (paint gun) and people actually want to buy (helghast, sephiroth, snake, ryu), this street fighter IV dlc is the worst kind because it's already done and planned out and they choose to leave it out and make you pay for it just like that Megaman 9 dlc
If you can barely afford a 60 dollar video game, perhaps you can rent it? Use gamefly or netflix or w/e its called. I think amazon has something like it too now.
The way I see it, this DLC isnt essential for the success of the game. I could care less if I only have 1 out fit for each character as long as it plays well.
IMHO dead space did DLC well also. I liked that if I paid 5 bucks i could have way better armor and guns. It was worth paying for because it made hard/very hard more bareable.
A costume is nothing but aesthetics.
The Elite suit is free so that doesn't matter much but I think buying the Scorpion Suit is still the equivalent of buying a cheat code and if I remember correctly the Scorpion suit was released on release day so they could have added it to the disc for free if they wanted.
Now for Street Fighter IV, seriously charging $13 for alternative costumes that you probably created and just stripped out of the game is just greedy. IMO if DLC comes out when the game releases it is most definitely stripped out of the game to make money. Not to say all DLC are made by greed look at, DLC that really is DLC like Gears of War Map Packs, Halo Map Packs, Call of Duty 4 Map Packs, Littlebigplanet Costumes and various add-ons, the packs for Metal Gear Online and the original Resistance Map Packs. The greedy ones IMO are anything that is released on release day and cheat codes which are also released on release day especially the Need For Speed Undercover packs.
DLC that comes out months after a game's release is fine, since it probably wasn't ready at launch. Releasing pay-for DLC on the same day as the game is just low
I hope no one buys this crap, teach Capcom a lesson
something about this just seems cheap and sleazy. it might be the pricing or just the fact that i feel that alternate costumes are something that you shouldn't have to pay for.
also im getting the special edition. its almost 90 dollars. i should get this for free. now some might say " welll if your already paying 90 then why not an extra 13" Why not? because im ALREADY PAYING 90$. when you start growing up from being a kid with a job that just loves video games to being a man with a Job that loves Video Games but has other responsibility, that 13 seems like a lot.
they should have just through in a character customizer and called it a day. Wheres the love capcom?
